Blackout dates for Give a Day program

Hi-

I noticed that there are some blackout dates for the Give a Day, Get a Disney Day tickets for Disneyland on June 21 and 22.

Does anyone know that if I redeem my free day on Saturday, June 19th but upgrade it to a 3-day ticket, would I be able to use the extra days I paid for on the blackout dates?

And does anyone know why those dates are blackout dates anyway? They are a Monday and a Tuesday and no grad nights are going on then? I am wondering if it will be extra crowded those days for some reason. Any insight?

I am guessing no one here knows...if I was you I would call Disney customer service at 714-781-4400 and ask.

I called about a question regarding GAD vouchers and they were very helpful.

June 21 and 22 are the last 2 days before Socal select APs are blocked out for the summer. I'm guessing that's why they are expecting giant crowds.

As for the GAD voucher, as long as you redeem it on a non blockout day, you can upgrade and use it as you like- shouldn't be any problem using your hopper pass.
