Does anyone know if that is listed on their website- I looked and couldn't find it? I am trying to figure out if Thanksgiving week is usually a date when you can't use your DVC points. Thanks for any help. :thumbsup2

There are no blackout dates when using points for cruises. Holidays like Thanksgiving fall into a higher season so they cost more. Currently, there is zero availability for cruises on points until Oct 2012.

Oh no!! I guess I had better book soon. :)

That's amazing.
And one of the things I truly don't understand about the interplay between Disney and DVC.

You'd think they could figure out the right financial calcs to make open cash Cruise inventory available for points as the cruise time approaches to insure fuller cruises. :confused3

DVC doesn't make any money on these deals. It probably costs them. They really don't want members to take cruises. They just use that as a selling tool. DCL wants money for their cruises, not script.

There aren't published black out dates but DCL takes away being able to book with points if they forecast enough cash sales.
