If I upgrade to a blackberry on Verizon how much can I expect my monthly bill to increase? In other words how much does the internet access add to my bill?

*actually thinking of doing this for DH but really he would be playing games and emailing on it for the commute and I fear what that might cost everyday.

Well, I have Tmobile w my blackberry and I pay an extra 40.99 a month for unimited data. Hope that helps! Beware- mine is truly a crackberry as I'm totally addicted! LOL

It was an Iphone/ blackberry toss up but since we are on verizon I thought blackberry wins.

Here's another ? if I get more than one on the same plan is it $30 per phone? We right now are on some family plan we have 4 phones with unlimited texting.

Yes, for every blackberry on your plan, it's $30. Look into work discounts, I save 20% on the data too.

I just got a storm for myself and a curve for DW and we have a family share plan as well...I was able to add 2 BB services (unltd data and email = $30 ea.) and then downgrade the plan from Select to Basic and it only wound up being about $20 more per month total. We did not have BB service prior. I did do an analysis of our TXT message usage prior to making the decision to downgrade as the new plan is pay for TXT, but I did opt for the $5/ month 250 TXT message plan for each of us. Definitely worth it to investigate the plan changes - there is defeinitely some overlap once you add BB service...you'll send emails more than txt, however BB messenger im's count against the TXT count.

Once you get set up check out crackberry.com and get the latest info on software releases and OS upgrades fort he BB's.

But if you already have a data/text feature, you can subract that amount to see how much your bill will increase.

You need to call and find out - every carrier is different and each carrier can have different deals. For my verizon phone it costs $25/month for unlimited data.

The others are correct, Verizons Blackberry plan is unlimited for $29.99.

Well I bought it. And I am supposed to get it by Wed. Since they were out of stock. And yep it's $30. (maybe I should get one) Bonus was that I had $100 credit on my account so it only cost me $99!!

True - but alot of the bad reviews on the Storm are from current BB users moving from a true keypad to touch screen, and others moving from iPhone to BB. The majority of those new to BB getting the Storm are quite happy.
