Hi everyone....:)
Does Florida State law still require you to use one of those black rubber rings around your RV drain hose going into the sewer?
With the new sites they look like they have some sort of sink for the water to drains into, does anyone have pictures?

As I understand it, yes, you are required to use a "donut" to seal your hose to the sewer drain. I don't think I've ever seen this rule listed on Disney materials, but have seen it on other FL campgrounds.

They have always had the little sinks, but in the bottom of them is a standard RV drain. The donut (or other means of stopping the escape of sewer gasses should be utilized. The sink is really no there to drain your gray/black water into.

I believe the requirement is only for a "hard" connection - it can be a threaded connection or the foamy donut. I doubt the Disney cops will be going around checking, though. They are too busy chasing Donnie in his golf cart.

Ok, We are new to RVing and haven't yet stayed at a camprgound with full hookups. I am familiar with the dumping procedure on the way out, and realize that I am going to have to learn some new stuff with regards to having sewage at the site. I have been using a sewage hose that does not have any kind of rubber gasket on the end to dump. Do I need to get a new hose before coming down to our premium site at the fort? Can someone provide a link to what I need on Camping World's website or something?

Thanks.

You don't need a new hose, just be sure you have a means to connect the hose to the sewer at the campsite. For your own enjoyment, you don't want fumes escaping!! You should also keep the valves on both the gray water tank and black tank closed until the black tank is about 3/4 full. Then dump the black tank and then the gray tank. This will help keep the sewer lines clean. For more information, go to this forum.

It's not as bad as it seems
