Black Friday Target GC Deal: In-store and Online!

Has anyone been to the store to check the restrictions that are posted? The flyer mentions special conditions about the gift card that will be posted in the store. I'd prefer to buy the gift card online but not if I won't be able to is it on a SWA gift card.

These are the restrictions that are listed online:

Save 10% on Target Gift Cards Friday November 28 from 6am through 12 noon CT

Just got back from my Target in Beaverton, Oregon and it was empty too. Felt very strange for a Black Friday.

Did we know that or is this just me?

The REDCard discount has never applied to the purchase of Target GCs (neither in-store, nor online). There won't be an additional 5% off. 10% is the best you're going to get.

However, if you're going to use those Target GCs to purchase Disney GCs on Target .com tomorrow, the REDCard discount will apply to that purchase if you have the REDCard stored in your account.

There is no Red Card discount on Target gift cards.

Are you talking about the 5% Target REDCard discount? That doesn't apply to Target GC purchases. Never has. You got lucky if they extended a one-time courtesy discount.

If you're talking about the Black Friday Target GC promotion, the discount is supposed to be 10%, not 5%.

For anyone who uses airtime cards, Target has them on sale. Picked up 6 months of Virgin.

It's probably because you can get the 5% REDCard discount (online only) when you redeem the Target GCs.

DH picked $300 gift card up in store. According to him it is the regular old gift card. I order $300 online and already got them by email. So excited for these.

I got $900 today. Went to three different registers and used three different rewards credit cards. Everything went fine. Hadley, ma was also pretty empty for Black Friday. They only had 4 registers open @ 5:30 when I got there and only two of those registers had people checking out. Maybe because it opened at 1:00? Or maybe because there weren't any good door busters and the sales were also available online?
