Okay, my husband wants me to get the wii in the walmart ad. Doesn't it say online only for that bundle?? If so, when will it be available online? Thanks!! :)

I'm glad that it was finally leaked but I am the only one who thought, "Ewwww. Why couldn't you find someplace a little cleaner to take that photo?"

Me too!!!! I am still thinking that's coffee grounds on the counter??!??!??!! :rotfl::rotfl2:

I think that ours opened at midnight on Friday. I think...

I wondered the SAME thing! It was gross! :scared1:

It sounds like Wal-Mart hopes that people will come in at midnight and then hang around until 5 for the electronics. It won't matter here because all of our Wal-Marts are 24 hour stores and people will just line up in the store. I might go scout the Wal-Mart stores while I wait for the time to line up at Target.

Last year our 24 hr Walmart was selling the 5am stuff at midnight....

Hmmm I just came across this thread. This is my first year ever going shopping on Black Friday... I need to go to Sears to get DH a tool chest. Anyone have any crazy experiences with Sears? They open at 4am. So I figured I would go around 3am?

thoughts, tips, advice? lol Im going to read through this for a bit!

Over the past 2 years (in response to the Black Friday fatality at a Walmart store on Long Island, NY), all WM supercenters have been open on Thanksgiving Day and remained open overnight in the runup to BF.

It largely depends on the foot traffic, etc. at your particular store. Normally, customers form lines at/near/around the merchandise in question and waited it out until WM took the wraps off the merchandise.

WM's ad is already out. It's been spreading around the internet all day. This is why people are suspecting it will be officially released earlier than expected. It doesn't really matter though, it's already out.

I don't know if you would call a sketchy "low-res" photograph of a circular the definitive Walmart BF Ad, or not.

As for CNN, usually by this stage in the game, all retailer's circulars are made available to mainstream print and broadcast media (usually, so a reporter can write a decent article favoring that retailer).

I stand by my previous posts and say WM will officially release their ad, any day now, and the rest of the retail pack will immediately follow suit.

As for the Libertarian website that has been the source of the leaked ad, I see WMs attorneys are doing a little overtime work...

Aren't all WM Supercenters 24 hour stores? They always have been here for years and years. Now the regular Wal-Marts that are not Supercenters so they aren't open 24 hours, but the supercenters are always 24 hours. That store in Long Island NY was not a Supercenter -- just a regular Wal-Mart. We don't even have any regular Wal-marts here anymore. The are all 24 hour stores and are only closed on Christmas Day.

Yes, this is true, but I know in years past, the Walmart closed at like 6pm Thanksgiving night, and re-opened at 5am Black Friday...but they may have stopped that after the guy got trampled the one year..

Ours is a supercenter, and is open from 6am until midnight. I haven't been out on Black Friday for the last 2 years (pregnant and rainy weather 2 years ago, little baby and raining last year), but got a lot of stuff online. I'm thinking about heading out this year, but I'm not sure what time they will open. I'm sure I'll be in there some time this week, so I'll have to track down the manager and ask.

I missed it (walmart)!! Can someone pm me that has it? I will pm you my email address.

Thank you!!

Lol believe what you want. I'm quite sure that's the ad, based on the items and pricing. We might see some last minute surprise sales, as we've seen in recent years. I wouldn't be surprised to see secret sales from Best Buy and Target (their ads weren't great), but I think the Walmart deals are good in comparison.

I'm pretty sure CNN saw the leak the same way the rest of us did, considering they mentioned "scan". Their article appeared immediately after the leaked ad spread through the forums.

At this point no one cares about the ads, they're out. It's all about the secret sales at this stage.

Ooh, secret sales? I am all about that! Wait, what does that mean? :rotfl2:

I think in the last few years stores have revealed sales online, or the morning of, stuff like that. I can't remember exact details, but I think Best Buy at least did that last year? I wouldn't be surprised if Best Buy did that, because I know a lot of people are unimpressed with their flyer. So maybe they are saving the best deals for secret?
