Black and white pictures???

If I have a Digital camera can I print out the pics in Black and White??? I have a few ideas for my Disney Scrapbook but it would look AWESOME in B&W...but if I can't do that with my digital camera then I can just bring my regular camera with B&W film.

Please help a newbie scrapbooker(with lots of ideas though )

Yes you should be able to print out in black and white. I'm not very confident with my dig camera but I can do that. You can also take negitives and they can turn them in black and white pics. I loved the shots I did of Disney in B&W I bought B&W flim because it was b/f I had my dig camera.

Are you taking them in b/w or convering the color in a photo program? I have had no problems printing in the b/w mode sometimes they look better then the color.

I use www.shutterfly.com

After uploading your pics, you can crop, take out red-eye, change the color to B & W, sepia, etc... It's very easy to use and very competitive on rates.

I've also created notecards, party invitations and other photo gifts items directly from the pics I took.

you can also try doing this at one of those Kodak kiosks at CVS. They convert from color to BW- - good luck!

Try just changing some of the color hues too. That can be very cool looking. If you have adobe photo shop it's pretty easy to do.

I also read somewhere the idea to bring a disposable black and white camera....the benifit being you don't have to use an entire roll of film before you can change to color (not a problem, of course, if you are using digital, but another option nonetheless). I did this before we bought our digital camera and - even though I was concerned about using a disposable - found the the quality of the photos to be awesome! I carried it with us as we went through the parks, and only took pictures of icons and landmarks (and some characters, etc.) that I wanted in black and white. When I scrapped my pages, I used both color and black and white prints (often on the same page)...and loved the effect .
