Congratulations Black Team!!!!! Great work everyone!!:cheer2:

I like the challenge for this week. I didn't have any berries, but have had beans yesterday and today, and have had 4 fruits and veggies today, so one more tonight will do it. I won't get back to the grocery store til the weekend, but am looking forward to trying out some new whole grains.

I love DWLZ too. There is so much good info on it. I like www.weightwatchers.com, but have been a member for a long time. Before I was a member, I would go on for free and be able to access some recipes, and I always was inspired reading the before and after stories.

:cheer2: GI BLACK TEAM!!:cheer2:

THANK YOU for the dairy reminder! Luckily I had cereal with milk yesterday as well as a serving of cheese (dairy) at both lunch and dinner. I need to go drink some milk for today! I didn't get any dairy at lunch.

Like the idea of whole grain tortillas and whole grain buns. :thumbsup2 I haven't tried those but love making wraps. The kids might like the buns too. ;)

Dona, is there any way the challenge information can be added to the first post of this thread? It would make it easier for me to keep finding. Thanks!

Terry I hadn't thought of putting it with the first thread but I will go do that now. Thanks for the suggestion.

Congrats Black Team on this weeks winning weigh in!!! Great Job:cool1:

had my usual cereal and yogurt with sliced strawberries this morning. I think I am going to get low fat ice cream for tonight and put another type of berry on it I will see what they have, maybe raspberries! yummy! have a good day! Will try to post other ideas this weekend but will be busy with my sons music school performance this weekend he is doing a solo on sunday to raise money for OCEANS OF LOVE (AN ORGANIZATION THAT RAISES MONEY FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER)they do this every year its alot of fun!have a good weekend:thumbsup2

Wow! I am chowing down on the best salad that is loaded with things that we need to focus on this week:

dried cranberries
garbanzo beans
feta cheese
I threw a veggie burger on top...this excites me cuz its soo good. Tastes like falafel, which I LOVE...
edamame
and a ton of other veggies

I had a slim fast for breakfast and coffee with skim milk.

I bought and 7 grain pilaf that has 2 new grains in it so that is covered. Don't think I can do more. DH is going away on business Sunday and it will be way too much food for me.

I am going to make a lowfat beef barley soup (I have a great recipe) and bought some split peas and lentils to make other things.

I am not big on berries but bought the dried cranberries and frozen blueberries and strawberries and yogurt to make shakes.

Have a great weekend all!

Have a great day all!

Thanks, Dona! :thumbsup2 I really appreciate it! Of course, if I just printed the list off, I wouldn't have to keep looking for it in the week post. :rolleyes1

Went to the store this morning in search of more whole grains. (nice link, FormrCastMbr :thumbsup2 ) As that website shows, there are a lot of cereals that have whole grains. I picked up a new one for me as well as box of fruit & nut bars with whole grains. Haven't tried the cereal yet, but the nut bar? YUM! :goodvibes I also found a bread with whole grain. Wooo! I hope the kids eat it!

Got it my fruits and veggies without a problem but I forgot to drink another cup of skim milk so I blew that challenge. :sad1: Dinner didn't have any dairy and I didn't realize I was missing a serving until this morning. Bummer.

Frozen raspberries are YUMMY!! I like to eat a serving as my dessert. Just the berries.

Have a good weekend, everyone! Onward and DOWNward, Black Team! :cool1:

Hi Everyone!

It sounds like you are all doing great and are such a support for one another. I wanted to write to apologize to the Black team for dropping out of the competition without any notice.

I pulled my back as well as injured me shoulder. I am receiving treatments by both medication as well as physiotherapy.

I am sorry if I negatively impacted the team, as well as not providing any info to our team captain donac.

Thank you for including me in your challenge and I am routing for you all. And thank you donac for doing a wonderful job as the captain of the black team.

Go Black team Go!
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Vivig Sorry you are going through all that. SHoulder and back are tough to take care of. I injured my shoulder a couple of years ago and I did not feel like doing anything when 3 or 4 days of the week are tied up going back and forth to physical therapy. Hope things are working out for you.

SOrry I haven't posted all weekend. It has been crazy around here. Friday night was pretty quiet just ds2 and I home. We both fell asleep around 10. Sat morning we got up and went to get his phone fixed. Never put a phone in the same pocket as a pencil. He learned the hard way but he also paid for it to be fixed. Then he was off to get ready to play for the band at a football game,. I picked him up from the game and we traveled north to see my parents and my sister. It was nice just hanging out with them and no else around. We had dinner and were watching Rear Window but it was getting late so he missed the end of it.

Sunday we got up to go to church, had breakfast and then I ran to do some grocery shopping. We then went to his school where I helped take some measurements for costumes, helped to cut some costumes out and worked on a backdrop Did I tell you they are doing Beauty and the Beast? I was helping to cut out napkin costumes and detail the bar room drop. Then I got on a bus with the marching band and went to a competition and got home about 9 last night.

Today has to be the worst. I am going to an inservice day. WE have no speaker it is a day to "share" ideas. 6 hours of sharing while sitting on cafeteria benches. What a waste of a day.

Off to get my day started have a great day. Weigh in is tomorrow. I don't know if I willbe back today. I have to tutor someone at 4 and have a fashion show meeting at 7:30.

So sorry to hear this...

*********
I do not think I am doing that great this week. I think I got minimal points for the challenge and I am having a rough TOM. We'll see tomorrow. I have not been on the scale since last Tuesday. I have been exercising though...:thumbsup2

Sorry I haven't checked in. We leave for WDW on Thursday, and this weekend was dedicated to getting the house and pets in order--kinda crazy. I've had an acceptable run at diet and exercise this week. I guess the "proof will in the pudding" tomorrow morning at weigh in. I've managed exercise every single day except Saturday--my typical off day. However, we ended up shopping and at the state fair that evening, so I definitely got some leisurely walking in.

Good luck all.
