I used all gift cards to pay for my upcoming $6000 trip.
Giftcard savings - $240.60
Im a BJs reward member and got 2% back - $120
Used Disney Visa Card for purchase w/ 1% back - $60
Total Savings - $420.60

If I was smart and used my Discover Card, I would have saved another $240.60. Boo next time!

The link shows the price for the $100 card at $94.99, saving $5.01 (5%). How are you getting 5% at BJs online with Discover, though? I don't see that offer on the Discover website. They are also in the clubs discounted at 4% if you are a member. Online is 5%, but like you said, Discover doesnt always offer the wholesale clubs online. I buy in store.

Thanks, that's great. I am in my first year with discover so my cashback is doubled. If I buy in store, I should get 10% cashback (at least on the first $1500 as I think the 5% cash back is limited to that per quarter.)

No, you can use any card you want if you are a rewards member.

I also just got a bunch, did not need to be a member... the $100 cards have a slightly better discount rate than the $50 cards... which have a slightly better discount rate than the 3-pack of $50 cards.

I just don't see a "reward's member" level where you get 2% back even if you are using a discover card to pay for it. Could you point me in the right direction? I'd love to be able to do this.

You can use whatever credit card you want to pay for overall purchases, so if you use a Disney Visa you get another 1% in the form of Disney rewards.
