Bitten by the DVC Bug

I've been well and truly bitten by the DVC bug. We passed ROFR on our first 78 point contract but still haven't completed and have already bought another 150 point contract

Well it was the right amount of points with the right use year and it had banked points - I would have been mad to refuse

That's it for now - I just need to get the first DVC vacation our of the way now before I think of adding on more

It is horribly addictive!!!!

We bought our 150 points at SSR under a year agi and have already started planning our next purchase of 100 points at BWV

Oh WOW!! Way to go!!!

I haven't seen any of the DVC resorts (yet!) - and I bought three years ago!!! But I have used points for DLP, a friends visit to London and rented some out. And I have had wonderful fun planning and looking forward to staying in a proper little "home" in WDW!

Forgot to mention that I originally bought a 210 point contract at OKW, and then just had to have a little add on, or two, for the BCVs!!

I haven't seen any of the DVC resorts (yet!) - and I bought three years ago!!! But I have used points for DLP, a friends visit to London and rented some out. And I have had wonderful fun planning and looking forward to staying in a proper little "home" in WDW!

Forgot to mention that I originally bought a 210 point contract at OKW, and then just had to have a little add on, or two, for the BCVs!!

LOL - Bexx we haven't even thought about a BCV add on yet. I am waiting till we go in August and we will have a good look round all the resorts - might even take a DVC tour.

I definitely wanted to buy OKW, and if I could only have one home resort, that would be it. But I also love the area round the Beach Club and Boardwalk, and World Showcase is my favourite part of any of the parks - so I decided to get a few points there for the 11 month advantage, so can always spend a couple of nights there if I want.

I will try to post some pictures, though that's up to our friends really as they will be the ones with the digital cameras. But I'm fairly certain they will take one or two pics of OKW.

Definitely want to have a look at the model rooms at SSR, and will also go and check out the other DVC resorts - we always love resort hopping. It's a bit of a backward way of doing things - buy first, look later!! But, I don't doubt we've done the right thing!!

Same here - all I know about DVC I've learned here but like you I am sure this is the right thing for us

We managed to not do it while we were there, knowing we would be tempted into buying. Then we got home and decided we wanted to buy after all, and got all our info off DIS! Can't wait to go now, though we haven't closed yet so it's a bit previous. But we know it's the right thing for us...
