Anyone looking to do an evening buyout, the minimum food and beverage is now $10,000!!!! Hope this doesn't mess with your plans.

OMG that is crazy!!! And sad because i LOVED that venue. That's not for brunch though right - only for dinner??

OMG $10,000 :scared1:

Is that for just the food and beverage minimum or does that include the site rental fee? I thought I read somewhere that the rental fee alone is $4,000. It would be a $14,000 minimum for the site. I better have an real french chef making my dinner and pasteries.

I don't think there is a rental fee for the location. The 4k used to be/might still be the minimum food & bev for morning/lunch receptions because the restaurant is only open for dinner. And um.. yes it is a real French chef LOL... but 10K is still really hard to do because the venue can only hold so many people comfortably. Yikes is all I have to say.

The miminum is for dinner only, but the site fee is like 500. Nothing outrageous. And it is the restaurant chefs that make the food, no outside (regular epcot) catering at this venue.

OUCH!!! The food there is amazing! And it certainly used to be a French Chef there! The food rivals anything ive eaten in France!

Romance someone for dinner where dining is truly a special occasion. This gourmet restaurant, with French cuisine and a romantic ambience, features such savory sensations as pan-seared lobster, rack of lamb and filet mignon. With a view of Epcot from its second floor location and a magnificent French wine list, dining here is always a night to remember. Bon appetit!

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't think that price sounds too bad. You do get the top floor of the restaurant all to yourself, which should make for a very lovely wedding reception.

I remember a few years ago when a bride bought out Citricos at the Grand Floridian. I believe the buyout price at that time was $25,000 (just for the restaurant -- the wedding was extra). I can't remember how many guests she had, but it was well less than what the restaurant normally holds (I'm thinking her guest list was in the 75 - 100 people range). That was the price point that made it feasible for Disney to shut the restaurant down to outside guests. We have to remember that Disney is a business.

Thanks for sharing the information, Sarah_n_brian2006. I'm sure it will prove useful to others.
