So cool, G.B.!! Can't wait to hear what else you come up with.

Caribbean Beach has always fascinated me. It was on my "plan" more than once over the years.I tried to talk our graduate into staying at WL but he wanted a more "beach" feel so we are at the Caribbean Beach much to my disappointment. I can't wait to hear all about your experience.
Well, we might just be a bit blasphemous ourselves...I too do the "Disney math" and figure out what I can do on our budget. I would love to stay at the BC or YC again, but I just can't get the numbers to add up right to allow that.DH often reminds me...we are barely in the room while we are there. We tend to be park commando's. I as still trying to find a way to add a night on one end of our trip to visit Harry's world, (blastfamy I know) but I would like to do it one time and stay off site that night.

It's definitely changing the park experience. I won't know for sure how until I'm there, but WOWZA is it gonna be different.FP+... as a local, I've just been rolling along with its evolution, learning as I go and making changes in how we do things as needed. I CANNOT imagine trying to plan an entire trip as an out-of-towner with this hot mess in place!from what I've seen so far in my WDW forays, staying onsite really is a requirement at this point for anyone hoping to ride the headliners. If the goal was to put more heads in beds, mission accomplished, Mouse.
I am insanely excited. Disney Fuzzy Math Update coming next...HOORAY for the Wilderness Lodge! Such an amazing place - we rarely stay there, but visit it often; it's that good. You are correct: one night is not enough. Keep recalculating...![]()
Great minds things alike!
I kid you NOT... I was just about to tell you about Orbitz when I saw your update!
I guess I had in the back of my head somewhere that Orbitz sold Disney hotels, but never really thought to check. Now I know!PrincessV said:I stalk Orbitz and Travelocity regularly because in recent years, they've been able to beat even AP rates with their special codes. I am completely, totally jazzed for the Biscuit Clan! WL is awesome... WL at a really, really good discount is pure awesomeness.![]()
PrincessV said:Funny thing, too: a couple days ago, I secretly booked the WL as a surprise for my son this summer - he's been begging to stay there again, and this will be a short trip with no WDW parks, so a fun resort makes sense.
The Orbucks are going towards the room on our way home. (The hotel on the way down was paid for out of the points I earned staying in hotels this Cheer / Gymnastics season.)PrincessV said:Yep, using the Orbitz deal. Plus some cash back through Ebates. And using some Orbucks from a previous Orbitz reservation. Totally working the Fuzzy Disney Math!![]()
LOL. I am DEFINITELY holding tight at 3 nights. That's awesome GB -- 3 nights at the Wilderness Lodge. And at the rate you're going, you'll be up to a week in no time.![]()

It was an awesome deal. I gave the skinny to my BIL and they have changed their plans as well. We are now all staying at WL. So thatll be right & mighty nifty. I didn't try to persuade them, just gave them pros and cons of both. No really. I mean it. Quit looking at me like that. Okay, I MAY have mentioned bigger rooms, the pool slide, the hot tubs, boat transportation, double sinks, lobby music, inside entrances, refrigerators, covered walkway to the buses, and a lobby fountain. But I mean ULTIMATELY, I didn't try to influence them in the slightest. I even mentioned the joy of the Everything Pop and the Pop Century Theming. And the single sinks. And the tiny rooms. And the outdoor. And walking to the room in the sun...and rain. And really, I HAD to mention the outdoor entrances and noise levels JUST so they could make an educated decision.Isn't the Orbitz deal great!?! I almost stopped reading your post when I saw the price you were paying for the first two nights at WL, so that I could go check Orbitz for the cost to tell you!! I'm glad I read the rest of the post. Yay! Three nights at WL, your family is going to love it.
Congrats!I too found the Orbitz deal this week and rebooked our first two nights through Orbitz, for a savings. Then I switched our last night from the YC to the WL, so that we could at least have one night to go back and visit it. Orbitz actually had a Poly room for only $30 more that the WL so I ask my kids if they wanted to go back to the WL for one night or go to a new resort... WITH A MONORAIL, and they both resoundingly said the WL.
I had not planned to, but I will keep that in mind. I was going to order via Undercover Tourist which saves a little but not a whole lot.Are you purchasing tickets through Orbitz as well? I know about a month ago there was a fantastic deal through Orbitz where they were offering 20% back through Ebates and they had a ticket deal on their site (5 day ticket for the price of a 3), then you can always upgrade it to however many days you need at the gate. It isn't 20% back right now (6.5%), but since you have a little while before you leave, it might come back.
Howdy andI am late to the party but very excited to be reading another GB adventure!!!
Indeed DFM is a thing of marvel and beauty that cannot be explained to The Others.Gotta love Disney fuzzy math, Good going on the 3 nights at WL.
Thanks! AND Congrats on your upcoming stay at the Polynesian! That’ll be a hoot I’m sure! Let me know if you do a TR.Looking forward to the rest of the story
Nell
PS going to go back and reread the orginal adventure.
I can’t wait to experience it!Wow I'm impressed. Three nights on property at a fabulous resort. I can't wait to read the report.
Howdy andSo, I JUST started reading your PTR, but I wanted to say that cheer is AWESOME!
I could write a book on all the things I DIDN’T know about cheer. And yes they do have to some insane conditioning to get through those routines. So many people don't realize how hard it is to be a cheerleader, but those stunts and routines take a TON of practice. I can't tell you how many times I hit the mat because the pyramid didn't go right or the basket toss wasn't executed properly. One year at cheer camp, a girl fell and broke her neck! People have tried to argue with me about Cheerleading being a real sport, but I can tell you from my years of experience (many, MANY years ago. lol) that it is! I hope your oldest enjoys her time cheering!
Thanks! And I hope you guys have a fabulous trip! ...now I'm going to go back to reading the thread. lol
Howdy andI am so happy to have found your PTR! I loved reading your previous TR and now I can catch you right from the beginning!!
Howdy andJust popping found your PTR and thought I'd pop in to say!
Also, I wanted to give your wife a shout-out from another Minnesotan!! Hey der, you betcha!
But seriously, we don't talk like that. Welllll, most of us don't....wellllll, some of us don't....wellllll, a few of us don't....maybe not the "you betcha" part but perhaps the long "o" sound in Minnes-oh-ta and c-ow-ch. Or ruf (roof) or "Oh ya". Maybe.
Not like Texans and their "hey, y'alls" and the "howdy, pardners".
But seriously, it must be a little bit of a culture shock for either you or your wife when traveling between those two very different areas!
Howdy andAhhhhh! Yes! Another Great Biscuit trip report! My year is made!![]()
