Hello,

W are planing on going to Disney next summer. During the time that we are there my son will tun 10. I obviously will do somehing special for his birthday, but how do I not let his sister feel left out and jealous. Her birthday is in APil and we always do something special but next year his just happens to fall when we could go to Disney. Any suggestions on making her feel involved and not left out of the fun.

Thanks

Frances

We often celebrate our children's birthdays at WDW. Our boys' birthdays are just 5 days apart, but our dd's isn't until 6 months later. However, the CMs at Disney are very sensitive to this issue. Reguardless of whose birthday is being celebrated, CMs have left cards, balloons, etc. in our resort room for ALL of the children. The non-birthday child's card just has a different message. In restaurants, all of the kids have been given extra treats. Really, this has never been an issue at WDW (although it IS one at home!!!).

Thank you for letting me know. I was a little worried. They are great kids but you know that the jealousy bug bites whe you least expect it.

Several years ago, we were there during my birthday and DS's birthday. We picked one day during the trip and celebrated my DD's "birthday". She got a button that said "celebrating my birthday" and we just let it be "her" day.
