Birthday trip help me pick!

We are making plans for my 12/12/12 birthday trip! The kids and hubby want to stay at AKL and I do too, but like the idea of a split trip 2 nights AKL 3 nights BWV. The other option is OKW the whole stay, which is the cheapest and biggest. LOL!

I'm just picturing the ease of being near everything at BWV for our days in the parks, and using the days at AKL for our down time.

We usually stay at SSR and one trip to OKW.

Will we enjoy the standard studio at AKL? Is it really as far as it seems? We will have a car.

Thanks for any and all input!

I like to do split stays. Your plan sounds great but I hate to put a damper on things but did you book anything yet? December is one of the, if not the most popular time to visit. I am sure whoever has had the opportunity to book for that time has. This is also the 7 month window period so many are changing hotel reservations as we speak.

If you haven't booked anything, I would do it ASAP. If you aren't able to get what you want, get what you can and put what you want on a waitlist. The value rooms at AKV are the first to go because of the low points. BWV is very popular as well.

The standard view rooms are spread out. If you are staying at AKL the parking lot is a short walk to the building. If you stay at AKV, the parking is under the hotel and it would work out better because you can park closer to your room and just take that specific elevator instead of walking to the lobby.


If you are paying out of pocket, then you it may work out for you.

I panicked last night and went with the entire stay at AKV Jambo. LOL! My hubby had me worried it would be too much a hassle with a split stay for only 5 days, so we just went with the kids pick of AKV.

I'm hoping we all enjoy it.

I definitely am doing the next trip at BWV's though. Looks so fun to be right where all the action is!

I think you made a wise choice! A 5 night trip is not very long and to be homeless for a full day does have it draw backs - have fun and enjoy!
