My daughter turned 6 on Monday 4th December and as her birthday treat we are going to Disney Paris on Sat 16th Dec for 5 days. Do you think having a birthday tea at plaza gardens is to far after her birthday?? :confused3 Seems like ages off at the moment. Or shall I just have the character tea without birthday cake/card.
Any comments/thoughts appreciated
Thankyou

I've been thinking the same thing about our trip. We're there a week before my daughter turns 3 and I didn't know if she would find it confusing having a birthday cake when it's not actually her birthday??? I just thought it would be nice to have the charactors make a fuss with it only being a week away.

As far as you are concerned it is a birthday tea :) I'd get the badge from City Hall and watch the delight on your DD's face as she has a ball. Remember to take plenty of hankies, as I know I would :goodvibes

We went for the normal afternoon tea which is just as nice (our DD's birthday was a week later). The characters still came round all the tables. So either would be nice I'm sure. I'd base the decision on if you can eat the birthday cake on top of all the other sweet things on offer.

Think we'll do the birthday tea as I love chocolate cake. Does anyone know if they let u take the uneaten cake away or do you have to eat it all at tea party?? We had a character tea last Dec and it was great but it would be nice for her to have a birthday card from the characters. So can I book this when we arrived or do I need to book before we go?
Thankyou so much for all your replys

Only 9 more sleeps till we go

You can have the uneaten cake boxed up to go.

I always book birthday things like that before going, just to make sure we don't miss out. I don't know if you'd have to though. :sunny:

My understanding is that in France this is not possible due to hygiene requirements. We were told this by a CM in Innoventions last year.

Might take a tupperware box to slide uneaten cake into, would feel bad leaving all that yummy cake behind. We can eat it as our midnight feast. :thumbsup2

We had ours boxed up to take away at Cafe Mickey, although we hadn't eaten any of it at the restaurant, and they included the candles and a new cake topper so we could enjoy it again properly back at the hotel. :goodvibes

if i want to do birthday at plaza garden can i do it anytime (for example dinner time) or is there a specific time?

The birthday tea is only done at set times - usually about 4.00 and 5.00. However you can celebrate your birthday at any time at any restaurant but I think its only the table service ones where you can order a cake - Plaza Gardens is a buffet

thanks

i think i want to book for 'celebrate birthday with disney character' where you pay 13 pound per person for birthday party.

When we go (Hopefully in September) we're having the trip in honour of my 21st despite my birthday not being 'til Dec 16th!!

I think it would still be nice for her to have a birthday tea at DLRP.... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes Plus, the birthday cake looks really yummy....!!
