We are leaving next weekend for our trip and we got an invite to a birthday party today that is shortly after we come back. The kids are twins (boy and girl) and are going to be six. I thought of getting the them something while we are down there. The boy will be easy, he is into the same things my son is (pirates, etc.) and whatever my son likes, I know he probably will. I'm not sure what to get the little girl though. She will be six and is into Princesses. I don't have a girl, so I don't really know what is out there. Does anyone have any ideas of something really great that is $25 or less that I can get at the parks?

I was thinking of maybe doing the personalized pink Mickey ears and a personalized pirate hat for the boy and getting something else to go along with it, but would that be silly since they wouldn't be actually wearing them AT WDW?

Another idea I had is doing a bunch of little things (coloring book, and other trinket type things) instead of one large item.

Any thoughts?

My dd is 7 and to be honest I don't think she would understand the uniqueness of a gift coming from WDW. Not to mention that you will pay inflated prices!

Personally I would just hit TRU before you leave and get them something more traditional. My girls love any kind of art supplies or kits to make things. That's usually what I mention if someone asks what they like or if I am buying a gift for a dd's school mate. This way there is no worry about duplicates as the more art stuff the better.

If I were going to do something from Disney I would consider the Mr Potato Head for each, maybe a princess tote bag or stationary set for the girl. If she has an AG doll they sell princess outfits that fit the AG, IIRC about $20.00.

Have fun

eta - a birthday card from a favorite character would be a bit hit for my girls - that they would "get". This would be inexpensive if you got a card at the gift shop and then met the character. Minnie and Mickey would be great and I imagine you will be meeting them anyway.
