So I take ds9 three houses away to a birthday party. The invitation stated 3-6 so I asked the Dad, "And we come back for them at 6:00, right?" He says, "Well, we're not sure if we're taking them to the movie now or not. If we do it'll be the 5:00-6:30 show so then you'll pick them up at 7:00. If we don't go to the movie you can pick him up at 6:00. We're going to let the kids decide."
Huh? How am I supposed to know if they go or not? Luckily we live so close so I'm just going to sit outside and wait for other parents to show up. :confused3 We don't know the parents too well so I felt uncomfortable saying "Well, make up your mind so I know what time to come back!"
I'm just one of those people that has to have everything all organized and I can't imagine having a party that wasn't planned out ahead of time.

Yeah, that's just wrong. Are they going to call all the parents when they decide? :confused3 They definitely need a better plan.

That's really dumb. If they are planning on possibly extending the time or don;t have a set pick up time that can be counted on, they should transport the kids home, IMHO.

That's really inconsiderate and rude.

BTW, yesterday I hosted a 4-hour party for DS9 and 12 friends. I was quite organized if I do say so myself :teeth:

I even wrote the itinerary on the invitation and many parents thanked my for that.

ya - ok - thats a well planned party - NOT
I would have said - tell ya what heres my # - call me when you know...
thanks
