Birthday Magic for a 12 year old

Our son will turn 12 during our upcoming Disneyworld trip. Any special magic Disney may provide? We are staying at the Port Orleans Riverside. Anyone have any suggestions or experiences?

Make sure to get a birthday pin for him from guest services. He will get lots of personal birthday wishes!

how about taking him to DisneyQuest? I know we did that for my brothers 13th and he LOVED it.

Let your resort know either in advance or when you check in about his birthday - they will usually deliver a card and/or balloons on his birthday. Also, make reservations at his favorite restaurant and tell them you are celebrating his birthday - they will bring him out a birthday cupcake and sing to him (hopefully he won't be too embarassed!)
