My DS is 14 when we are on site at Disney this August.

Any suggestions/tips etc as he is to young for some of the backstage tours etc.

He still likes Character meals but I wanted to do something different and I have also heard that they get a special pin etc?

What do others do for teenage boys birthdays at Disney except let them sulk!!!!

Prehaps you could book one of the tours or something? We booked the around the world on a segway this time and LOVED it! there were loads of kids in our group and they were having great fun!

What about surfing at Typhoon Lagoon?

His choice of a day out with xx spending money?

Don't forget to get a birthday badge (free) at the theme parks if you do one on his Birthday day - unless he is too cool for that :teeth:

The Segway tour is for over 16's only unless things have changed very recently as I booked this for my DD 16 a few weeks ago, she was too young last year.

There are other tours he could do, he might appreciate a 'behind the scenes' experience. I am taking my DS 14 to do the greenhouse tour at Epcot. There is some info on tours here

If he is into video games etc then DisneyQuest might be a place he would enjoy. Perhaps you could take him out on the lake in a boat.

For a meal, my teens like Sci-Fi at MGM, Whispering Canyon at WL and still enjoy dining with characters at Chef Mickey's.
