Birthday Girl or not

My dh and I want to take our ds to Disney while he is 11 and before he is a teenager and the magic will be different. It works in our schedules to go around the time our dd(second child) will be turning two. However, if we go over her birthday she gets to spend her birthday (which is Mickey's birthday!!!) at WDW. The downside is we don't have to pay $300 for her airfare if we go the week prior to her birthday. Our ds's birthday is at a time of the year my husband has to travel for work so, that is out.

I guess my question is does Disney do anything that is super special that is worth spending $300 for her airfare???? They told me they would sprinkle fairy dust on her, but that is some pretty expensive fairy dust if you ask me.

If you have a disney birthday experience could you please share it. I know she would not remember the day, but we would video tape it and remember it always.

Go a week early and pick one day of the vacation to celebrate her birthday early....Save the $300 and have fun!

I agree, just head down a week earlier and you can still celebrate. We are going 2 weeks after my dd's birthday and celebrating as she is still in school and missing a week this close to the end of school is not an option. As it is we are pulling her and the other kids 2 days early.

I would go the week before and just tell her it's her birthday, she's not going to argue the date with you

We're going on Saturday and celebrating my daughter's 10th birthday. she won't turn 10 until June 7th....but it's close enough.

We went down for my sons 3rd birthday. We ordered him a cake to be delivered at Chef Mickeys. He loved it. I don't know if thats "special"...it's nothing we couldn't do at home, but it's alwasy better at Disney!

We will also be getting a cake for my daughter the night we dine at 1900 park fare.
If I knew how to add a picture I would add the picture of my sons cake...but I don;t know how.
