We're going to be at WDW in November for my son's 7th birthday. Any recommendations on a good place to do dinner with cake, etc? I'd like to take him to a restaurant where the cast members will make a big fuss. Don't know if a character meal is good for that or not. Suggestions? TIA. :)

To be honest any restaurant can be good. Obviously the character buffets are better. But I will be honest, it just depends on the server you have whether or not they will be "into" it.

There is a cake thread here on the boards, check it out for ideas for cakes and such.

Good luck and happy bday to the young man.

We ate dinner at Chef Mickey's last year, and the table next to us was celebrating their daughter's b-day. The characters made a HUGE deal about it! They all came to their table and they played a Happy Birthday song. The little girl was just tickled! Hope this helps. :)

At the Hoop Dee Doo Revue... they make ALL Birthday people stand up and everyone sings Happy Birthday for them !

I thought it was a Great Celebration !

Hugs,
Mary
