birthday dinner

we will be at Disney for my birthday this year what restaurants would you suggest? there will be 11 of us 6 adults and 5 children.

same here! we will be celebrating my birthday...i booked my birthday dinner at California Grill at CR. I'm not sure how it is but the menu looks good and i've seen pictures of the food. Also, you are able to see MK's Wishes...with the music playing and everything! Sound like it should be nice. Hope you find a restaurant you like to celebrate your birthday!

We're always in disney for my dad's birthday, here are the places we have been:

California Grill---view was spectacular, the food was good but nothing I would go back for considering the price

Yachtsman Steakhouse--great if you like meat

Portobello--great food, but the menu is limited and I think it's a place you have to had dinned at before and enjoyed before you go there for a birthday

Ohana's--less casual then the others, only restaurant that sang to him and bought him a cupcake, food is amazing and the view is great

Shula's Steakhouse--best steak we have ever had, but I wouldn't suggest you go there with kids

We had the most disappointing birthday dinner at Cali Grill, so we won't be returning there. Horrible (as in send it back unedible) food, and a server who was clearly not happy with her job.

So, Yachtsmans Steakhouse has never disappointed us. We've had lovely birthday and other special event meals there.

We've not been to Cape May since the addition of crab legs, but prior to that it was our "go to" restuarant with a large group (like yours) because of the wide variety, and child friendly atmosphere.

Jiko is a nice place too, although since Chef Annette left, it's not as incredible as it once was.

If you want something a little different, Marrakesh is quite fun! Great atmosphere and the food is nice, although not very authentic.

If you want something very nice, elegant and excellent service, Bistro de Paris is the perfect choice. Might not be as much fun for children though.

I had my birthday dinner at CRT last year ad I thought it was great - DH even pre-ordered the chocolate slipper for me!
