Where would be a good place to celebrate a birthday for a 6-year old boy? We are WDW vets, so we've eaten just about everywhere. But this will be the first time at WDW celebrating our son's birthday. Any suggestions? Where have you had good experiences with birthdays? I'm talking about meals with a birthday cake, candles, singing, and just making that birthday boy (or girl) feel special. :goodvibes

Thanks in advance!

What about Chef Mickey's? Every 30 minutes or so the characters parade around waving napkins. It is a lot of fun. Good luck!!

We spent the week of my DD's 5th BDay at WDW last year. We ate at LTT, Coral Reef, Planet Hollywood, CRT, Garden Grill and WCC. The biggest fuss was made at LTT all the characters and a bunch of waitstaff sang there was a special birthday cupcake and mickey confetti. I loved it. At CRT on the Big Day fairy godmother sang and there was a cupcake. The waiter was short with us and we were rushed through dinner. DD loved it. Coral reef did nothing. The rest wished DD a Happy Birthday and offered the cupcake. We were never asked if we wanted a BDay cake. You live you learn, you know?

Please book Chef Mickey's we did this for my nephew's 6th bday celebration and he absolutely loved it. Do not get a cake, especially if you go for dinner. They'll give him a Mickey' cup cake and you'll have a dessert bar which includes a make your own sundae bar.

They did a song in honor of my nephew and he got a laminated placemat to take home. He uses it daily and he still talks about Chef Mickey's. We are returning for dinner this time (last trip was breakfast) and I plan to have just as much fun and eat even more this time.

I can't think of a more fun place for a 6yo boy to have a bday celebration at Disney.

Thank you all for your responses. Sorry it took me a while to say so -- I didn't get a chance to visit the boards again until now. We tried for Chef Mickey's AND LTT, and they are both completely booked for his birthday. :( We even tried Chef Mickey's for breakfast - still nothing available. We're more than two months out, too! We were able to get a breakfast at Crystal Palace, so that's what we're going with for now. I may try again every so often, though, to see if there are any cancellations.
