We will be at Universal for DDs 10th birthday, so looking for some suggestions on a place to have dinner at CityWalk, IOA, or the resorts.

-Margaritaville is OUT!
-Liked the "vibe" of Antojitos, but not crazy about the food.
-Like Mythos, but been there a lot.

Any other suggestions?!

Thanks!!

I'm sorry I do not have great advise for you, but I also have a 10 year old & was hoping to enjoy a family dinner at Margaritaville on our October vacation.

Should I re-consider? Is it not kid appropriate?

maybe the character dinners that rotate between the 3 onsite deluxe hotels.

call the hotels to get the days of the week it is offered.
you can also ask what characters will be present.

you order your meal off the regular menu.
the characters will be present during a specific time period.

when i did the character dinner it was at RPH and the characters were present from 5:30 to 7:00.

the characters went from table to table to interact with the guests.

check the menus for the table service at each hotel.
pick the hotel menu that would suit the family.
hopefully, whatever you choose will be on the day of the week you are at UO.

It's definitely fine for kids - lively atmosphere, fun place. When we were there, they had guys on stilts making balloon animals, the volcano "blows" every so often, lots of music and stuff going on to entertain the kids (and adults!).

Unfortunately, we had a food allergy issue (the chef told me twice that something was egg-free and when my daughter ate it, we found out it was NOT!). They handled it very poorly in my opinion, so we won't be going back. Plus, the food was just average. Lots of people seem to like it though. :confused3

Let the folks at The Kitchen Restaurant-(Hard Rock Hotel)... know what's up.
They gave my son some extra TLC on his birthday dinner...(Plus Bart & Homer were there that night too!
You can call them ahead of time and talk to a manager...awesome staff there!
(HRH #407503200...ask to be connected to The Kitchen)

My .02 worth, ...at no charge...
YMMV...:goodvibes

It's very kid appropriate and a favorite of our son's for many years. We don't have any allergy issues though.

hard rock Cafe, hard Rock Hotel, The kitchen, and Bubba Gumps make a HUGE deal over birthdays!! party::cake:party:
