Birthday Dilemma for my 5 year old DD!!!

DD who will be 5 on May 12th is beside herself because we "were" going to be at WDW over her birthday. Unfortunately, DH just informed me that because of his work schedule we have to move our trip up a week. I don't want to break her heart, because she is so excited about her birthday there. I know she will be still excited to be there, but since it will not be her actual birthday while we are there, do you have any suggestions how to make it up to her? Or do I just fib and still take a day while we are there to celebrate it? What do you do when you have an almost birthday at the world??

Take a day to celebrate while you are there. That is what we do with DD if we are close to her bday while we are there.

I know I have very rarely celebrated my kids birthday ON their birthdays. Parties have always been a few days before or after on a Saturday or Sunday.

Heck if you really want to you could celebrate her birthday the entire week you are there.

No need to fib--you guys just picked that day to celebrate your dd's birthday with us! Make sure you go to City Hall at MK to pick up the b'day button.

My son's birthday is may 12, also.

Do you mean that the child should wear an "It's my Birthday" button the entire week?
