My DD is turning the big 5 years old during our stay next week at BWV. Is there a way to get our room decorated and/or a cake in the room for the big day? Does Disney or any outside company do this?
Thanks in advance

My son is celebrating his birthday at Disney too :earsboy: I have learned from these boards that you can order a cake, but so far it seems that you can only get the room decorated if you are concierge.

Anyone that can verify that?

Happy Birthday to your DD princess:

I'm not sure about getting the room decorated. I surprised my daughter with a trip in October for her 16th Birthday. I used Pixie Gifts (Beth) and arranged for a cake and a goodie bag to be placed in our room. (Note--CS was not very cooperative in getting the bag delivered to our room--not their policy.) I had balloon's ordered and some Disney dollars for her to spend as she wished. They will customize a gift for you. Used them twice and loved their services.

One big thing--get your daughter a Birthday Badge (available at all parks). My daughter got one when we first arrived and wore it the entire trip. She was sung to over and over again and even at 16--she just loved it! On the bus, in the parks, at meals, etc. People would stop in the parks just to wish her HB. We were waiting for the boat at WL, and the driver made everyone stop boarding and called her over. He had everyone sing to her and told everyone the BD girl had to board first! She was somewhat embarrassed but loved it! I loved it more--to watch the look on her face was a priceless memory! Made her special day even that much more special. WDW does Birthday's right!

Also, we had a CM in Frontierland ask her if she was sung to by Goofy for her Birthday. She said no. Before we knew it, the CM picked up the phone and dialed a number and handed the phone to my DD. It was a tape recorded greeting from Goofy. She actually blushed!!!! It was awesome and a lifelong memory.

Make sure it's noted on your ressie that it's her BD as well as on all your PS ressies. You can order cakes for around $10 at some of the restaurants (I know LTT had one). They then greated her by "name" (she did not know how they knew her name) and had confetti and steamers on the table. This was so the characters knew it was a "special day" and they spent extra time with her! She loved it. They even had the CM's sing to her at the end of the meal.

Hope this helps!

Oh....LTT sounds wonderful...and that is where DS chose for his birthday dinner ::yes:: We love LTT and that sounds like a perfect dinner. I know they don't always do the same thing, but we can hope :hyper: I wasn't planning on a cake just b/c we are so stuffed after a big dinner there. I might have to go ahead and do it...

I've ordered cookie bouquets for our last two trips - one just as a surprise for my dds and dh and the second time for DHs 40th birthday. Also, DH got a birthday from Mickey and the Gang.

Do you mean Cookies by Design bouquets? I am thinking about this bouquet for DS upon checkin: http://www.cookiesbydesign.com/Sing...rs&PTAID=1738&arrid=13&cob=pgCatDisnMickPg1D4

I called and talked to the CBD in Orlando...lady there was very helpful and friendly.

gobo2,

When I read this article from my PassPorter News I wished I had a little girl to do this for.

" As I opened the door to our room, I saw Tinker Bell streamers festooning the walls, a Tinker Bell cake placed on a blue-green tablecloth draped table, and a Tinker Bell-green canopy over the bed (see photo). Dave had surprised me by having our room decorated! He claims it was the work of Tinker Bell, but I think it was actually Jane of GiftsOfALifetime.com! Thank you so much for making my day special, Dave - you're the best!

Isn't it beautiful....
I would call Jane of GiftsOfALifetime.

We stayed at the Polynesian Concierage last time we were there for my DS's 7th birthday. They do not decorate the room but do deliver a cake, balloons, and a few noise makers. These were all placed on a tray in our room. I had noted his birthday on our reservations. I had asked for the balloon bouquet but did notice that I was not charged for it.

As for decorating the room, I did it myself once he fell asleep. I had made signs on my computer, brought streamers, etc. Once he fell asleep, I did the whole room so that he woke up to a birthday wonderland. Have a great time!
