Tuesday 5th June 2007 a relaxing day.
We are up late, so Hector must have heard me when I said I wanted a lay in. Even so, we have had breakfast by the time Alexis makes an appearance at 10.30am. We leave an hour later for the local shops. I want a Pedicure, like Alexiss has had and she needs a nail fix. Rick heads off to look in some of the local shops, while we have or nails done.
Our next stop and hour later, is Michaels for some maribou trim, Costco to take back some trousers and the party shop for Alexis. She is thinking of holding a Pirate Birthday Party later on in the summer for Jose.
Party shopping done, we drop off Alexis at home and then head off out to the local shopping mall in Mission Vieja for another trip to Macys and a bit of window-shopping. On our way back after Benefit make-up purchased, we stop off at Targets, which is just down the road, but on the way back. The traffic is starting to get a bit heavy as we have hit rush hour.
Back home with Alexis and Jose and the BBC World News is about to start.
We decide to have Chinese tonight from the local take-away, and it is absolutely delicious.
We chat the evening away, looking at photos and talking about US/UK differences, such as elevators/lifts, gas/petrol, bag/purse, etc.
Tomorrow, Rick and I are planning a road-trip for our last day. We plan to start off in San Clemente and head down Pacific Coast Highway 1.
The weather was grey for most of the day, but beautiful and warm by the afternoon.
