Wednesday 30th May 2007 Our last day at sea!
After breakfast, we head out on deck (the weather is great) and by sheer luck get a signal on the phone, so we phone home. Everything OK at home, except the weather, which hasnt been so great since weve been away. We go back to the cabin to pack the suitcases, (the bags have to be packed by 10.00pm and outside the cabin door) and then off to the Atrium for Trivia. No luck this time, so over to the gallery to purchase the last of our photos and order the video. Lunch with the whole trivia team today in the Venetian Dining Room, with Champagne from our win the other night. We toast the success of our small trivia team and a wonderful cruise.
"Looking back to where we've been"
Were back in our cabin by 2.00pm, to finish off packing and the relevant paperwork such as the cruise questionnaire. There are a few extra comments to make, such as smoking round the bars and the shambles of the Sitka Tenders. I purchase one of my last coffees from the Patisserie, post the questionnaire in the box at the Pursers Desk and then join the rest of the CC Team for the last but one game of Trivia. No luck again.
As with other days, we walk a mile round deck and then get ready for our last evening. The suitcases are out by 6.30am, but we have a couple of bags, which we will carry off tomorrow. The last game of Trivia is as 7.00pm in Jammers and we finish off with a win hooray!
Dinner tonight is with only Nina and Peter. Rick has the Rib and I have the Salmon, which is lovely. Dessert is Love Boat Dream plus freshly made rum & raisin ice cream Yum.
Nina and Peter have to finish packing so they retire to their cabin and with coffee in hand Rick and head to the Vista Lounge for the final show.
Finally, were in bed by 11.45pm. We have to be up tomorrow by 6.00am as custom clearance begins at 7.00am.
The trivia score is 21 games played and 11 won.
