Monday 28th May 2007 – Another day at sea. Memorial Day
Clocks went forward this morning so what I thought was 7.20am, was in fact, 8.20am and no lie in. After a quick breakfast, we grab a cup of tea and head down to the Princess Theatre and the Bridge/Navigation Talk, given by one of the women bridge staff. Chris meets us there and we all enjoy a very good and informative talk, but some of the audience is intent on finding someone to blame for the Sitka tender situation. The Cruise Director is on hand to quieten the feuding mass and the talk is ended, due to a Memorial Day service, taking place in the theatre.
A quick check of the gallery to see if there are any new photos for us to look at and also an update on our account to date from the Pursers Desk. We attend geography trivia, mid morning, after a 2 minutes silence for Memorial Day. We complete our customs form, hand it in and the have lunch in the Horizon Court.
This afternoon Rick and I go separate ways – he goes for 2hrs computer course and I go and watch a movie in the Princess Theatre – You, Me & Dupree. One of those movies that I hate! After the movie, I head back to the cabin to prepare our clothes for this evening. I meet Rick with the rest of the team for afternoon Trivia, in the Atrium – we come 2nd. Stay and chat with the rest of the team after trivia and the 6 of us arrange to have dinner together tonight.
Trivia again at 7.00pm – yes we win.
We have a fairly late dinner in the Florentine Dining Room, with Peter, Nina, Chris & Deirdre, and it’s very good. Rick tries the fruit soup and thoroughly enjoys it. I thought it was a bit weird.
As we step out of the dining room, the photographers take our photos with a couple of dodgy characters – a lumberjack and his wench.
We are all tired, so head for our respective cabins. Tomorrow, we arrive in Victoria.
