Birthday Celebration while in WDW

So we leave in 6 days!! I need some last minute advice....

I have been the main planner of this trip for 9 months. 11 people going and it's been a blast getting everything in order. The youngest in the group turns 6 tomorrow. He's my great nephew. My sister (who's grandma) thought it would be fun to celebrate his birthday when we are at WDW. We are staying offsite at a private pool home (friends are letting us stay there). So she wants me to see if there's anything we (I mean me) can organize. So I need your ideas.

We do plan have plans to have dinner at T-Rex. We got gift certificates for Landry's throught MyPoints. I do not have ADR's for there...was planning on joining their Safari Club. Should I call there to see if they can do something special for whatever day we decide to go? Or should I just make it really simple and do something at the house? Is there anything special for birthdays at any of the parks that we still can set up? I know that is WAYYYYY short notice so this may be very unrealistic.

We just did this exact thing for our dd's 5th birthday.

Call TRex directly, NOW, and book a reservation. Do not use the Disney ADR's as they are only allocated a certain number of seats. This way you wont have an hour or more wait to get in, and they will most certainly be able to book you. When you make your reservation let them know it's your nephews birthday and they bring out some ice cream w/ a cookie. Here's our dd's:

Or if you want to do something a little more exciting you can order Chocolate Extinction (we all ended up sharing this)

After dinner head on over to the gift shop and you can do build a dino (build a bear but w/ dinos) and have a very special keepsake to bring home from your birthday excursion.
