Birthday Baltic Boating June 2010 - Pre-Trip Report Single Digit Dance 3/6/10

As for dinner suits - can I suggest you take a look at George at Asda - a full dinner suit is available for around £50

Thanks for the tip - funnily enough Asda was one of the places that Dad had looked at online and he said they were cheap. I've just had a look myself and at the moment they're doing an offer where you buy the jacket and get the trousers free - all for £30! We're going to drive out there next week and see if they're doing the same offer in-store. :thumbsup2

WOW - your T-shirts and hoodies look amaing. Do you mind me asking which site you used to get your designs printed as I am thinking of doing a couple for DH for our cruise next year. You have done a great job with yours :goodvibes:goodvibes

Thanks Sarah. :goodvibes I used www.printmeashirt.com and the total for all 4 items came to £101.59. They charge £14 per image and £7 per text item so if you're printing front and back it can start to mount up but it's good quality so I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

fab trip planned - those shirts look amazing and what a great idea. I bet you get a lot of envious comments :thumbsup2

I did have one worrying thought - people will probably think we're Cast Members and we'll get asked loads of questions about the cruise!

Bumping this up as today is our Double Digit Dance day. :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2:

Just before Christmas we picked up our dinner suits from Asda so we are ready for formal night and I've been looking at costumes for pirate night - although there is a suggestion we might have a Viking night instead so I'm holding off on doing anything yet.

A couple of weeks ago I had a surprise FedEx package from Disney, which turned out to be a little booklet giving some info about the cruise - so I now know that the terminal will be open from 10am and boarding will begin around 1pm. Needless to say I'm now aiming to be at the terminal for 10:00 so we can be among the first group to board. :hyper:

The booklet was followed a couple of days later by a letter from DCL thanking us for booking early and confirming that we are being given a $100 per person onboard credit for booking early - adding that to our $600 Dreams Unlimited onboard credit we now have $800 in the kitty to start off with.

I've been keeping a close eye on the Creative DISigns board and have now got a whole collection of magnets, some personalised and some not, to print off and take with us to decorate our cabin door so look out for photos of those in the trip report - I've got enough to change around throughout the 12 days, including some special ones for my birthday towards the end of the cruise.

The excursions for our cruise are now up on the website but there is only one that we will be doing - Helsinki Highlights & Finnish Food Tasting. For St Petersburg and Warnemunde we have private tours booked, which we are sharing with other DIS families and all the other ports we will be doing on our own.

So the only thing left to do now is wait until 29th March when we can book the tour and hopefully get Palo brunch booked for my birthday, or we might have a group booking instead.

Until next time - keeeeep dancing. :cool1:

sounds fantastic. i always enjoy your reports so really looking forward to this one. It seems to have flown by since you booked this. I remember thinking at the time how far away it seemed but it has gone soooo fast.

I think you had far more important things to worry about when I first posted it.

Six weeks tomorrow we will be stepping aboard the Magic for the first time. :cool1:

I missed out on being able to book a Palo brunch so that will have to be done on boarding day and we have also had our departure time from Stockholm brought forward from 4:30 to 1:00 so that is going to cut our sightseeing down a bit. On the plus side I have booked the Helsinki Highlights and Finnish food tasting trip and I have downloaded a load more magnets from the DIS so we are going to have a good change of decoration for the door over the 12 days.

It seems that rather than a Pirates theme night we will have a villains theme night so I have to start thinking about what we can wear for that. I have also bought a fish extender from somebody on Ebay and that arrived the other day.

The other good news is that when I got home today a FedEx package was waiting for me. Inside was our luggage tags and cruise documents!

I hadn't expected them this soon but it is all seeming much more real now. Lots of printing and planning still to do, not least of which is fish extender gifts - any advice there would be gratefullly received.

Six weeks and counting. :yay:

I have loved all your TR's looking forward to this one

Thanks LeAnn, I hope this one doesn't disappoint.

:cheer2: THREE WEEKS TOMORROW!!! :cheer2:

:cheer2: TWO WEEKS TODAY!! :cheer2:

A couple of updates since last week. Firstly we have now got a confirmed group booking in the private room at Palo for brunch on my birthday, which is going to save me having to queue for a reservation on boarding day. I have asked our fellow cruiser who made the reservation to ask DCL to make a note it is my birthday, so we'll see if any 'Disney Magic' happens.

Also I've now got most of my fish extender gifts sorted. I'm not going to say what they are in case we have any lurkers here but suffice to say I am quite pleased with them and hope they go down well.

It seems to have taken forever for that ship in my signature to move across from left to right but she's finally there and hopefully the next two weeks will fly by. I've just realised that thanks to the Bank Holiday I'm single digit dancing for days left at work before we go! :dance3:
