Does my cousin need to take her passport with her as ID to show it really is her birthday? Her family are VERY security conscious and will probably want to keep the passports locked in the safe for the duration if possible!

Also can she still get one if we are in disney the day before her birthday as we are planning on doing something else on her actual birthday but she doesn't know this has mentioned birthday badges A LOT!

Cheers

Hi Mel,

I've never heard of anyone having to "prove" it's their birthday so I think she will be fine without passport.

Nearly time for you to go now, are you very excited?

I celebrated my 35th Birthday at Magic Kingdom this Easter and I just went in and asked for a Birthday Button and they gave me one..... oh and I did say please!!! :earsgirl:

do they only give birthday badges at MK, or can you get them at guest services at all parks?

You could say I am very excited but that would be inderstatement of the year!

I have gone through the plan and hope I have thought of everything. On Saturday I had my very first moment of self doubt! This will be our first trip to WDW (excluding FH who went more than 20 years ago as a kid) and I have been in charge of everything and it suddenyl dawned on me as I was driving along with my Mum that I had planned everything so if it all went wrong, or was really pants then it would be all my fault. Let me tell you I was close to tears!!

However, no time for being a wimp - I have cases to pack, hand luggage bags to buy and e mail confirmations to print! The only disappointment is that our nationwide cc will not be with us in time so it is plain old case and TC with a *SMALL* Only to be used in absolute emergency barclaycard to back us up.

My counter seems to think we have gone already but I really am still here in England but it is 5 days 14 hours and 45 minutes til we take off - however I am counting the holiday as starting on Sunday when we head up to Gatwick!

Ho hum, I've been rambling on and on - the simple answer is YES I AM VERY EXCITED THANK YOU!!!

Hey Mel,

Don't worry - you will have a FANTASTIC time. I do know what you mean though about having organised it - you will feel responsible if little things aren't quite right. Well, you should not feel like this (though I understand why you do :))

What I always try and remember is that sometimes things don't go to plan but that's not necessarily a bad thing - sometimes you just have to call a time out:rolleyes: and go with the flow.

Example. I was in Epcot with my DH and 2 DD's on a VERY hot August day two years ago. Both my girls were very tired and grumpy and behaving less than perfectly. Obviously, what I wanted to say was "you ungrateful children, don't you know that mummy and daddy have brought you thousands of miles to have a magical time in WDW? Start acting like you are enjoying it!" (actually it is possible that I did say this or something along these lines;) ) But instead we rented a stroller, popped them in it and decide to wander around WS. Now, I was very put out about this as it was NOT on the plan and would mean we would not have time to do Test Track, Ellen's Energy Adventure etc etc at all that holiday. But clearly the girls were no longer having fun on my plan and I have to say the next 4 hours wandering round WS were possibly the highlight of my trip. Although we hadn't wanted to "waste" time like this. LOL, how wrong was I?!!

Sorry, this very rambling tale is meant to say - don't beat yourself up if things don't go to plan. Sometimes it's for the best!! Little things will go wrong but it isn't your fault!

Whatever happens, you will all have the time of your lives. Relax (make time LOL) and enjoy!!

Best wishes,

Karen
