Birthday at the Magic Kingdom

My husband I are going to be at the Magic Kingdom on December 18th! Any ideas on celebrating my 40th Birthday? Does the Magic Kingdom offer Birthday perks for guests?

I don't know if it's perks really - but make sure you get your Birthday Button. If you are staying at an onsite hotel, the front desk will be happy to give you one. There is a place in MK that will give you one (Guest Services? I'm not 100% on that).

Cast members go out of their way to wish you a happy birthday. I got a free dessert when I stopped for lunch. It's just a nice feeling. Some people mention that they get a lot more "freebies" while some mention that they get nothing more than birthday wishes.

I went for my 30th just this past January, and I totally loved it. I'm thinking of going again in 2014 for my next birthday. Nothing makes a birthday better than Disney!

My 40th bday is tomorrow and I leave for WDW on Friday morning on a trip with my BFF. Been looking forward to this for the past 16 months since I decided this is how I wanted to go "home" to celebrate this milestone in my life. Will be ready to pick up my bday button when I check in to CSR on Friday morning!! A little extra pixie dust would be wonderful, but if not, the most important thing is that I am getting a much needed break to do whatever I want to do at DISNEY! Hope you have a great bday in December!

We celebrated my DD's 8th bday in January in MK and of course had the button! So many characters stopped her to wish her a happy birthday, it was so much fun! She also got extra treats at dinner, which she beamed over!

did it for me once - too much attention is too much.

now my niece loved it - we also did 2 character meals and both times she was the bell of the ball. she loved it!

If your having dinner at a TS restaurant to celebrate you might want to mention that when you make your reservations. They have been known to make a special dessert or make an extra effort for the birthday person. You never know....

We leave Thursday and my 40 is Friday. We have ADR at Cali Grill that night. Going to enjoy F&W and wear my "I'm a man. I'm 40" tshirt
