Hello all!
My family and I are planning our next Disney trip for February Vacation 2016 for my 16th birthday. I know there are buttons that you can get if you tell a CM it's your birthday, but do you have to be at a certain place? Or do you have to say it's a special event when you plan your trip? We typically go in April so I'm new to celebrating my birthday at Disney World. Thanks!

They have the buttons at the front desk of every resort and at the park guest relations. Just ask for one. If you want, you can add the celebration as a note on your resort reservation and on your ADRs.

Wear your button and you will hear happy birthday more times than you can imagine! :)

I had my birthday lunch at Hollywood and vine and they brought out a cupcake and a card signed by the characters. Dinner was at 50s prime time and I got a candle in my dessert and the server led our room in singing happy birthday.

What a great place to celebrate your 16th! Enjoy!

Thank you! I'm so excited!

oh! If I were you, I'd also make a tshirt, mickey ears or ?? that says Sweet 16. Check out the creative DISigns board here, or maybe Etsy.

I agree with momof2cuties, I find that in Disney that a button will not get you "REALLY NOTICED"... wear some fancy ears, a shirt and anything else if you want some really magical Disney attention! I also found that the resort restaurants gave much more amazing birthday desserts versus dining in the park. Either way, have fun on your special day! Early wishes to you- :bday:

Huh, I might just have to try that! My artistic skills are less than mediocre, but I'll see what I can do! Thanks for the great tips!

Thank you very much! It will also be my aunt's birthday and my cousin's 21st birthday, so I'll pass this along to them!
