We will be staying at pop century the week of Dec. 18-27 and our daughter's 6th birthday is on the 23rd. The day of her b-day we are doing BBB and CRT but I didn't know if they do anything else for birthdays at disney?

We'll be celebrating my DS 3rd bday at Disney in Oct and when I called to make the ADR for dinner they told me I could also order a cake to be served. I think she said it was abut $15 (?). They made a note on the ADR so the servers would know about it as well. I have also heard about gettting a "It's My Birthday" pin at each of the parks -- probably at Guest Services. I've seen them on our many trips to Disney and the kids get a lot of special attention, especially from the characters! :thumbsup2 HTH

My birthday is December 23rd! I celebrated my birthday last year at CRT. They brought me a small birthday cake(about the size of a cupcake) and decorated the table with confetti. They also gave me a magical moments certificate that was signed by all the princesses. I loved being at the Magic Kingdom on my birthday. I received lots of birthday wishes from the CMs and guests. I hope your dd has a magical birthday.

Someone also told me to tell the hotel were you are staying that you are celebrating a birthday... sometimes they give you something... like a card signed from the characters... it never hurts to tell everyone that you are celebrating a birthday.... I know I will ha! ha! :thumbsup2

we too will be celebrating our son's 9th birthday. I hope we can do something special. But being on a limited budget i will certainly do the pins everyday!!!

Thank you! All of those are great and the all ears tips gave me a lot of ideas.
We wanted to do something special for her this year because she is always forgotten by our families due to her b-day being so close to Christmas.

will you be decorating the room?? :)

Im bringing a birthday banner to hang while shes sleeping!
im gonna tell her tink did it while she was sleeping! lol

I celebrated my son's 4th birthday in Disney, last year. It was the best. Each day, when you go into a different park, go to the guest services area and tell them that you have a birthday. They'll put the birthday person on the phone with a character who has a birthday greeting for them and then they'll give you a "It's my birthday" button to wear in the parks all day long. My son got so much attention from complete strangers wishing him a "Happy Birthday", and on top of that, there were occasional perks, like getting in the front of the monorail with no questions asked and at times, getting in the front of lines on the rides. We actually had a group of about 20 people come with us on the day of his birthday and I had reserved a table at a restaurant in the Animal Kingdom, where we had a private party with the characters. We loved it so much that we're having my daughter's 4th birthday party there next year as well. :wizard:

You can have your child receive a personalized birthday call from Mickey

I have also ordered balloons, and cakes from the disney florist. Or special gift sets from gifts of a lifetime.

We celebrated our DD 5th B-day this past May. Definitely get a birthday button from guest relations. CM's will give them special attention. A couple of days before you leave call your resort and let them know that it is your DD b-day and tell them who her favorite character is. Remind them also when you check in. We did this and on our second evening after returning from MK, there was an autographed picture of Snow White with a balloon. Not even a whole day at MK could top THAT.
