Birthday at Cape May Breakfast

I have Cape May breakfast planned for my son’s 3rd birthday. He wants a cake with a candle, I think a cupcake would suffice, which I would assume would be possible to request, not sure about the candle though. Anyone have experience with a birthday cupcake w/candle for breakfast?

We had breakfast at Cape May on the last day of my son’s birthday trip. It was a couple days after his actual birthday but our server noticed his birthday button and brought him over a card signed by the characters and a birthday cupcake. I can’t recall if there was a candle on it or not but if you brought birthday candles with you, I am sure they would light it for you. For my son’s actual birthday, we ordered a podium cake at the Brown Derby which is an inexpensive option (I think it was around $12) and we brought our own candles and they lit them for us both there and then later that night at the Star Wars dessert party. They are very helpful and there are a ton of birthdays celebrated there. I might just tuck a pack of candles in your bag just to be sure.

Each restaurant will do something, but not certain if a cupcake is a guarantee.

I'd start by calling Disney Dining, making certain that your ADR makes mention of his birthday, and then ask if a cupcake is what they provide.

My mom had her birthday breakfast there this past May. Despite being a Grandma she got the cupcake with candle and a card. We also sang. I ended up with the cutest pictures!
