Hello everyone!

I have been a DIS lurker for years. And I have started (and not finished, sheepishly), a couple of TRs in the past. I hope that this time around, especially starting with a PTR, that I might actually follow through until the end.

Thank you those that decide to take this journey with me! I will try to post photos as we go.

DATES:
February 15 - 20 at Disney's Boardwalk Inn, Club Level.

*EDIT* With studio responsibilities, I just can't get away until after January, so an anniversary celebration it is!

CAST:
My mom and dad. Mid 60s. They are both huge Disney enthusiasts. My mom will turn 60 something during our WDW stay. They are staying BW CL Rm #1. Picture soon.

DH and myself. 44 and 34, respectively. We have a Scottish Terrier and he is our furkid. We are trying for the human variety as well but for a few years now we have had no luck. I have no siblings. It will be our 3rd wedding anniversary during our WDW stay. We are staying BW CL Rm #2. Picture soon.

We are all from Oregon. My family owns a film studio and one of the larger sound stages in the state. Yes, we work with various television shows and yes you've probably heard of them.

CURRENT STATUS:
*EDIT* I decided to go with the Deluxe Dining Plan this time. I like food. Got the PH+ tickets because I have NEVER done a water park and that is going to change. Currently having problems deciding where we should eat on any given day, and basically the itinerary. Be Our Guest still has no ressies. Sad face.

Between now and our vacation, our studio is attending the American Film Market (in November), and exhibiting at the National Association of Television Program Executives (in January). Busy times.

Oh yeah, and my parents and I both know all about the trip but DH is completely in the dark, and I really hope that I can keep in that way until we are literally on the plane. He really likes surprises and this would be a whopper.

More soon. :) I hope some of you will find my planning/PTR interesting!

Grrr! I am still attempting to figure out the pictures thing. It doesn't look that complex, but apparently I am a spaz. Or it doesn't like the host I am pointing to. Anyone have any suggestions?

Meanwhile in the Disney planning world:

Not much has happened. Things have been so busy with work that I haven't had time to look any more into ADRs or schedules. Our sound stage is booked out with corporate shoots for the rest of the week, we are simultaneously wrapping on work with a television show while prepping for work with a feature, and I am trying to schedule out my time at AFM. This month is crazy.

I did renew my TouringPlans subscription so I could get day rates for each park during the days we will be there. Looks nice a slow, just how I like it.

Does anyone have any restaurants they recommend for TS credits? This I think it the first time I have bothered with the dining plan and while I thought I was a Disney pro, I am actually feeling a little out of my element.

It's been hard not to say anything to the hubs about our upcoming trip, but darn it I am going to stick to my guns. I spilled the beans last time and I refuse to have a repeat. I wanna surprise him. :)

How is everyone's October going? Oregon is hot for this time of year - mid 70s What the heck? I want to wear my long sleeves and not sweat!

Anyway, pictures soon - as soon as I can figure it out.

Well, I don't know if anyone is reading this but I am going to continue, for the time being.

Got a cool packet in the mail on Saturday from Disney! Something new they must be doing, which had information specific to our upcoming trip - Our resort, what we had purchased in terms of tickets, info on myDisneyExperience. Was very cool. Good thing DH wasn't home though because it might have ruined the surprise!

The packet was really neat but confused me. We are staying 3 nights 4 days. When I got to the 'dining' part, it tried to tell me I have 6 TS credits pp. I thought you only got 1 TS pp per day. Is it a misprint? Is there something I don't know? I am going to call to clarify. I think its wrong, as much as it would be cool if its correct, because I would plan my signature dining differently otherwise. Anyone else experience this?

In mundane news, didn't get much of a weekend. Saturday was the last shoot day and wrap party for season 6 of a TV show. Sunday included travel to the production offices of a feature currently shooting here as DH is helping the transportation department, followed by a trip to our own sound stage to move the fire truck and pick up some misc. paperwork. Lots of chasing around and not a lot of relaxation. As I type this, DH is already on set for said movie and I am answering client emails in Dublin and China. It may sound glamorous and sometimes it is, but its mostly just a lot of hard work.

For anyone who is familiar with the American Film Market, its in a little over 3 weeks and I hope to present during a seminar, which means I have to finalize my schedule, travel, presentation. Set appointments, schedule meetings, etc. It makes me tired just thinking about it. :)

Back to Disney. I am debating the MVMCP Friday as well as Sunday. Originally I was thinking a red-eye Thursday which would make Friday a long day, but now I am thinking rather then torturing myself, we could fly earlier Thursday, get in by 10 PM, and maybe stay at the MCO airport to catch ME Friday AM. It probably seems trivial, but I'd like to take Disney provided transportation but I want to enjoy the experience, and I hate wasting a Disney day with travel, so staying at MCO for the few hours between landing and the next morning makes more sense to me then arriving at the Boardwalk at 11 PM, or 1 AM, or even 8 PM on Thursday night after a long flight from Oregon.

That's all for now. Wondering if anyone is reading or enjoying this PTR, especially with the current lack of photos.

Hi there! Joining in!

How fun to surprise your husband!

As far as pictures go.....

Go to page where your pics are hosted, right click on the image you want and select copy image url.

In your post put

So it will look like this

As far as the Dining credits as far as I am aware its 1ts, 1qs, and 1 snack credit/ night. So for 2 ppl staying 3 nights you would have 6TS credits TOTAL not each.
