Is it a scheduled carrier or charter you are looking for?
If you want direct then I think your only option is charter.
Scheduled options with only 1 stop go via Dublin, Newark, Frankfurt or Amsterdam. I don't know of one direct.

Looking for direct flights only-travelling with a baby this time so dont want any stops.Have looked at bristol with first choice but trying to book online it seems like you have to pay the full amount,i was only looking to pay a deposit at this time.

We are using Continental from birmingham in December, with a shop in Newark. Very easy way of doing it anfd a good price too! :)

If you book any flight only then you pay upfront, only option is to book flydrive then pay a deposit, FChoice is £65pp. Downside to this is very poor luggage allowance and fly to Sanford(some prefer, we hate).
We would rather fly indirect with scheduled than direct with a charter, even when DS was little.
I dont know how FC works but Virgin flydrive can be as cheap as flight only if you dont pay for or pick up their car, book it elsewhere.

Flew from Brum in early 90's with Lunn Poly, clearing customs at Bangor Maine, and the down to Orlando International.

The last time we flew from Brum was booked with Going Places, flight with Airtours, flying on a Thomson plane into Sanford

Even though Birmingham is only 30 minutes away, we much prefer to fly from Manchester.

About 3 years ago I went direct from Birmingham to Sanford with Monarch. Flew in there premium cabin at very little extra charge so got extra luggage allowance (always good!) Very good, No complaints!:thumbsup2

Bugbear of mi9ne this...

Only Charters direct to Sanford from Birmingham (BHX) and only during the peak seasons.

Only other options are either Continental via Newark New Jersey, or

Aer Lingus BHX-Dublin-Orlando
KLM BHX-Amsterdam-Orlando

Hi!
I live in Leicester and always struggle to fly from Birmingham.Flights tend to be May to September from Birmingham...flights only with Thomson ,but as I say-only those dates!!!!

Good luck,and let us know,
Lynn

Yes I wish Virgin would fly from here but I suppose it is a dream;) .I lke to fly with VA so don't mind the 75 min drive to the airport.I can imagine with a baby I myself would prefer to fly from BHX direct.Never flown into sanford so cannot comment.Just don't fancy the extra transfer time when we get the other end so do it before we go.(I suppose its the other way round on the return though:wizard: )
