Bippity Boppity Brr! My Very Meticulously Crafted Plans don't quite pan out.

Caught up again! :thumbsup2 Your 1900 PF pics are hilarious, I love how in character the sisters are and your girls look star struck from Prince Charming.

Thank heavens Olivia was found right away. Been there, done that and it's not fun. :sad2:

The sisters were great. Anastasia was talking about finding her own prince, and Drizella asked the girls what they asked Santa for. She then proceded to tell them that she asked for a pony and a new bow for her hair. She wanted a really big bow with lots of sparkles. And for the pictures they put on the biggest most rediculous smiles they could. Definitely the best character interactions since the Princesses are so formal, well except for Ariel, she tends to be a bit flighty.

I guess this weekend I will do the entry(ies) for our last day.

Saturday, December 18th
Resort – Polynesian
Park(s) – Magic Kingdom
Weather: high of 64 degrees, low of 46 degrees, rain
Our last day. Plans in the planning book were pretty simple.
Breakfast at Chef Mickey's 7:45 AM
Anything left to do at MK

As you can tell, I didn’t know exactly what we would be doing. The only things we really had left were to see Rapunzel, mail letters to Santa, and see the Laugh Floor. Nice easy day. Our flight out isn’t until 7:30 p.m. and our Magical Express time is 4:45.

So the day starts off with the alarm going off. Getting in after 11 last night, and after midnight has foiled the Vacation Gods attempts to wake me up early. I’m fricken exhausted. Who planned all this stuff. :lmao:

I look on the desk, and it looks like somebody transformed our pearls in to carriages. I say a certain Tinker Fairy must have visited, Ally who loves Cinderella said maybe the Fairy Godmother transformed them. I tell her that’s a possibility too.

So we get dressed and head over to the TTC to catch a ride to breakfast at Chef Mickeys. We check in, get our pager and hang out. Get a few pics, plus the family portrait.

We go in, eat, meet the characters. You know same old same old. After taking some video I notice the battery is going, and I only have about 5 minutes left. Guess it didn’t charge last night when I plugged it in. Got to be picky about what I want to video tape now.

After breakfast we go back to the Polynesian to pack everything up and check out of our room. Luckily we don’t need to ship anything. I manage to get everything into the luggage. Glad we got that extra piece of Disney World carry on luggage.

Call Bell services, and 5 minutes later the guy is there in a cart to take us to the Great Ceremonial Hall. I’m happy for the ride since it is a rainy morning. I go to the front desk because I want to have my $986 Disney Reward Dollars applied to our bill. After that it’s off to the Magic Kingdom.

First thing we do, mail our letters to Santa.

We head into the store to do a little browsing, anything we want we will get on our way out. I find a Key ring I like, and a photo album. I’m sure there was other stuff, but I can’t remember now.

We leave the store and head to the Laugh Floor. I guess the rain is keeping people away because we walk in and only have to wait 5 minutes for the next show. We have a seat and I take a picture of the canister. Right after this a CM tells me pictures are not permitted.

We leave the Laugh Floor after enjoying the show and head over to meet Rapunzel and Flynn. The line is a bit long, but the kids really want to meet them. We wait through a break, and finally get to meet them. The lines take a while because the characters spend a lot of time with each kid. Great when your kids are meeting them, but really sucks when you are waiting.

232323232%7Ffp733%3A9%3Enu%3D32%3B2%3E%3A%3C4%3E934%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3A6%3C598%3A%3B337nu0mrj

After this we head into FantasyLand so Diane can get her Donald Duck sweatshirt she wanted at the Philharmagic gift shop. The kids also get a Minnie Mouse in a Princess outfit. This makes 9 stuffed toys they got. I also spot a 2010 Disney Photo Album, and it’s clearance priced at $9.00. :woohoo:

Took a picture of Mickey

We head towards the exit and I swing in the store to get the medallion photo alubm, a picture frame with 3D characters, and my keychain. I’m not sure where we are going to put this stuff though since there isn’t any room in the luggage, guess we will need to ship them.

We see the Dance party parade coming around, so I get a few pictures.

We decide to ride the train around the park, we have never ridden the Disney Railroad, and we have time, so why not. I never knew there was special stuff you can see only on the railroad, like the Indian village. I got video, but didn't get any good pictures.

Up next, we continue our last day.

I love last days of just doing whatever and Chef Mickeys is a great choice for last breakfast!!!

We hang around the train station and get some picks. I take some pictures that I can stitch together on my laptop to create panoramic shots. Here are a couple of stitched photos.

We have lunch at Captain Cook’s and this is when I notice I could get a Dole Whip here, no lines.

I decide to ship the two photo albums and the frame. When I walk in the store I see a bag with Christmas lights in the shape of mickey printed on it for $3. Well this will be cheaper than shipping, so I buy the bag and put the albums and frame into the bag, and we have an instant carry on.

While we are hanging out waiting for our Magical Express ride we see they are teaching kids how to Hula, so we get Ally and Olivia. They have fun learning, and put on a little show.

It’s close to 4:30 now so we head to the Magical Express bus stop to get our 4:45 ride. The Vacation Gods decide to play one more trick on me. 4:45 comes and goes, no bus. 4:50 still no bus. 4:55, no bus. 5:00 no bus. 5:05 no bus. What is going on. I start to head towards the Bell desk to ask, but see another guy already is there. When he gets back I ask what’s going on. Our bus stopped at another hotel, and was full so it skipped the Polynesian. Another bus is being sent to our resort and will be there in about 15 minutes. If someone can explain to me why the waited until we asked before routing another bus, I would love to hear from you. There is still plenty of time to get to the airport, but sitting for 20 minutes without knowing what is going on is a bit ridiculous if you ask me, even if I’m not paying for the ride.

We get to the airport, get through security and are at the gate. A week ago we were here just getting off the plane, and I saw the people who were heading home, and thought “those poor people, their vacations are over’. 8 days later I know what they were thinking seeing us. “Look at those poor people, they have no idea how exhausted they are going to be at the end of their trip.” :lmao:

232323232%7Ffp633%3A7%3Enu%3D32%3B2%3E%3A%3C4%3E934%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3A2524968337nu0mrj

232323232%7Ffp733%3B3%3Enu%3D32%3B2%3E%3A%3C4%3E934%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3A2526236337nu0mrj

The flight home is pretty quick, and we are landing about 20 minutes ahead of schedule. We get the luggage, call the park and ride people, and wait for the van to arrive to take us to our car.

It’s 11:30 when we get home. It is less than a week until Christmas, so I open up the laptop, go to the PhotoPass site, and order our cards. Being tired, I don’t realize that the folded cards only come in packs of 10, while the standard cards come in packs of 20. We need 30, so I order two packs…of folded cards. I was quite surprised on Christmas Eve when the cards came and we only had 20. Had to figure out who was getting picture cards, and who would get the cards I will be getting from the store shortly.

Sigh, I guess this concludes my official entries into my Trip Report. This isn’t the end though, since I’m sure you will have some comments or questions so this will live on for a while longer.

I love last days of just doing whatever and Chef Mickeys is a great choice for last breakfast!!!

Yes, we love Chef Mickey's for breakfast. It was the last ADR I made when I realized I hadn't scheduled breakfast there, and the last day was the only day without a breakfast ADR, other than when we were checking out of AKL, and an early breakfast wouldn't have been the best idea that day.

Sounds liek a nice leisurely last day. So sad it's almost over...

Oh I see there is another update I missed, gotta catch up

Nice relaxing last day. :thumbsup2

The life guards always made me laugh whenever I saw them on our trip. Some were bundled up to the hilt while others were content with just their normal suits and boards. Always diligently watching over the water though even when the pools were empty. Kudos!

How fun to learn the hula before heading home. Coming home sucks. :sad1:

What a wonderful trip you all had. I enjoyed reading all about it and the fun you had. Thanks for letting me come along.

What a wonderful TR this has been! I love the last day...so easy and relaxed.

Of course though... I do have some comments/questions.. ;)

First, were they posing for you?
232323232%7Ffp733%3A2%3Enu%3D32%3B2%3E%3A%3C4%3E934%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3A252494%3B337nu0mrj

Second, what time of day was this and was the crowd as low as it actually looks?
232323232%7Ffp733%3A6%3Enu%3D32%3B2%3E%3A%3C4%3E934%3EWSNRCG%3D35%3A24%3A73%3A7337nu0mrj

How cool that the girls got to learn some hula! How fun!

On the DME bus... I had a similar thing happen once when we stayed at the YC. We waited and waited. When we asked the cm about the bus situation (because we were not the only ones waiting) we were told we could continue to wait or get a taxi ourselves. I didn't think that was very magical. By the time we FINALLY got a bus and got to the airport it was about time for our plane to board!!! We ran into the airport...got through security...ran to our gate..and...and.... our plan had been delayed an hour. :confused3 I seem to remember getting to the gate and thinking how lucky we were since our plan was scheduled to leave right then. This is the ONLY time we have ever had a flight delayed by more than a few minutes. We were very lucky!

The girls sweatshirts are too cute. Very festive!

The carriage necklaces look like they work well. I just got ours in the mail this week. I plan to PaP in December. Hopefully, we will have good luck at getting nice ones too.

Thanks for sharing your trip!

I don't know who they were, my wife made a similar comment.

The picture was taken on a Saturday at 1:19 pm. It was a rainy day, but not cold.

I think I would have taken Disney up on the cab offer, I would have asked who was going to pay for it.

I should have got a taxi. I am all but certain I would have been on the hook for the taxi. One other family called one...and I knew it was on their own dime. I should have not been stubborn...but I just thought that since DME was a part of my package....I should be able to use it. I won't ever sit around like that again.

Hi, great trip report.. thank you for sharing!

I really like those panoramic shots you took of Magic Kingdom.. I have a setting that does that on my camera, I'll have to find out how it works! :goodvibes

really loved your report.......i was even getting sad on the second to last day when you said you guys were sad knowing you would leave tomorrow......bummer! lol

love the pics too- you got some really good ones that last day!

yeah,my pearl was too big for the carriage- it was like 8mm- so i will take it back next trip and have it set in a ring or something instead. i think i will do pick a pearl again and buy more carriages for gifts next year!

love the world showcase books you had made- what a great idea. and a lot cheaper, i am sure.

i like the pic of you guys on TT too- you can tell your wife was not a big fan, but the girls are smiling away- so cute!~

anyhow- it sounds like you guys had a great time! are you typically early risers? i know i am not, but when it comes to disney, i am the first one up- and of course like you, i schedule all these early mornings and early breakfasts! so which was your favorite breakfast and favorite meal?

Great Trip Report! It is sad it's over, but it sounds like you guys had a great time! :cool1:

We had a great time. 8 days in the park goes a long way towards seeing almost everything.

I'm guessing they wouldn't have been willing to pay for the cab. I would have been pitching a fit if someone said that to me.

I don't think my camera has a panoramic setting, but you can take a series of pictures, overlap about 25% of it. Then use the Windows Live Photo gallery to stitch them together in a panoramic shot.

I feel so bad for you that you couldn't put your HUGE pearl into your cage.:lmao:

The showcase books were made by my cousins husband. They were great. They sell passports at EPCOT, but they wouldn't have the kids information in them. I think they were $10.

TestTrack was great, and you are correct, Diane wasn't a fan.

I am usually up between 4:30 and 5:00 during the week for work, but will sleep in until 7 or 8 on the weekends.

I think my favorite breakfast was the stuffed french toast at Cinderella's Royal Table. I should have gotten seconds. I like the potato casserole at Akershus.

Favorite meal would be either the Kona Cafe or Liberty Tree Tavern. We didn't have many meals that didn't involve the characters. The African Stew at the Mara was pretty good too for cafeteria food.

I'm sad your TR is over. It means mine needs to get finished up soon!

I love the Epcot passports too. I really want to make one for Jack, but the autograph book I made him last year didn't turn out well, mainly due to my lack of patience... We shall see.

Learning to hula looks awesome! I just recently introduced Jack to Lilo and Stitch, and he has been talking about hula-ing.

We also did Laugh floor and the WDW train on our last day. Oops, i should probably have saved that for my TR. Oh well.

So now that all is said and done, what would you do differently? Other than have the weather be warmer?

What a great trip report. We were there almost the same days. We experienced the same issues with the merchandise and the weather. Being from Pennsylvania, it dint really affect us much. Cant believe how many trip reports were all done around the same time.
