BioWare used to have a legendary reputation in the world of video games

I remember seeing a trailer for the next "Command & Conquer" which would end up getting cancelled and being excited upon seeing the BioWare logo despite not having been a BioWare fan at the time since they had built up a reputation for awesome narrative experiences.

Since experiencing the Mass Effect trilogy, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, and the Dragon Age games I considered them the Marvel of the video gaming world which is obvious after looking at the BioWare cliche chart.

Like the late 2000s to 2010s Marvel movies they were formulaic but had memorable characters and engaging stories.

But recently.

I hear Baldur's Gate 3 has captured the greatness of "Old BioWare" and former BioWare and Naughty Dog devs are developing a Mass Effect like game called "Exodus".

At first glance it looks a lot like Andromeda so it hard to get excited.

But upon finding out people who worked on the original Mass Effect games and Dragon Age Origins are involved I am cautiously optimistic.

It already has loads of tie in material. The book is really good. Haven't had that much fun with a sci fi novel since reading James S.A. Corey's "The Expanse" a few years ago.
