I had no idea that you could play Bingo on board! Where was I? :confused3

Where do you go to play? Are kids allowed to get a card? How big are the jackpots?

Hello!!!! My husband's biggest "complaint" of our cruise was the fact I spent More on Bingo than he did on Beer!!!! I kept warning him about not spending like crazy on the beer, then I get on board and become addicted to the Bingo! He will never let me live it down......
On the 4 night cruise, jackpots for the first, second and third days were between $50 and $1000, and then the last days' jackpot was, I think, $2000 some odd dollars, but two people split it. Had I won, I would have paid off my Bingo bill!!!!
It was held in WaveBands, and then on the last day when EVERYONE attended, it was held in the Walt Disney Theatre (the big one where you watch the stage shows..)
Kids can play a card as long as the Adult purchased it and the Adult stays with the child during the whole game. You can't just buy a kid a card and leave. But it was great - I saw a lot of kids there (along with mine) and I would say that half the winners were kids.

I won $143.!!!!!!

How much were the Bingo Cards? :cheer2:

I believe a basic pack for all games was 35$, and you could buy extra cards for the jackpot game...

Warning: Highly addictive, very fun, and very $$$

YEAH BABY :cheer2:

If you had your kids with you, you can purchase 1 card for them, which means 1 card for each game (red, gold, blue, etc.) and I think they were $12 each.
But you cannot purchase the card and leave the room, they require that you stay there. I mean, what kind of nut-job would want to leave a BINGO game anyway?!?!

But do they have dabbers? Or should I bring my own? :rotfl2:

No need, it is played on a cardboard surface, where you just remove the window of the number.. :goodvibes

I thought that my DH was writing this. Bingo is addicting to Husbands too.

He had a Bingo game in Promenade Lounge too. Just loved the one in the Morning at Wave bands. Captain and coke at 11 am. Well I guess it's noon somewhere.

You were luckier DH won $0.

We just got off the magic yesterday and on Friday there was a lady 3 rows in front of us and she won $6,000 at bingo. She won the final bingo for the cruise and she was the only winner for that game.

How inspiring is that!! :rotfl: :teeth:

I'd have them come to the early sessions, not the grand prize session in the Walt Disney theater at the end (unless they're really into it). It takes awhile to sell cards to everyone wanting them at the end - you risk ending up with bored kids. Also look to start off with just a few cards and forego the big packages they try to push on you - punching out the right numbers (while not punching out the wrong numbers) can be deceptively tricky. If a child is trying to juggle multiple cards it can get confusing and frustrating, especially trying to keep up with the caller.

But then how do you play 15 cards? Do they call fast? If I bring a dabber, will the dab be too big for the window? I could punch them out if I got a bingo... (Yes, I take bingo way too seriously! :rotfl:

But then how do you play 15 cards?
It's not too hard, it's pretty easy and they're slow enough.
Do they call fast?
If you need more time, you just yell out, Wait! and Sherri (on the Wonder) will say, all right, and she'll wait a minute.
If I bring a dabber, will the dab be too big for the window?
I didn't see anyone with a dabber. They reminded me of the Florida Chad's that were all over the news. If you totally remove the chad, then your card is disqualified. You just have to punch out the three of the four sides and push it towards the back to get it out of the way, BUT DON'T RIP IT OFF!
I could punch them out if I got a bingo... (Yes, I take bingo way too seriously! :rotfl
