I stayed there one night on the way down to the Keys on a power/water site (no sewer) on 12/29/17. Got there late in the day, left early in the morning so I didn't see much.
But .....
What I did see was what I expected. It's a county park (as many counties in FL have park systems that include a public campground) and the comfort station was old and worn out. Our pad was short, narrow, and nowhere near level (sloped strongly back to front). It was cheap, close to the Turnpike, and retail/restaurants not far away. I believe it is fairly close to Universal which is just south of the Turnpike.
The non-campground portion of the park (picnic, play areas, lake side) looked decent from what I could see far away.
If you have low expectations and need a cheap place, it will do.
We used to have a poster from the Jacksonville area who used this place who said it used to flood in some portions during heavy rain so that might be a question to ask when you attempt a reservation. That was years ago but, being county run, it may not have been addressed yet.
Here are the pix I took. The first two are bad due to low light/darkness coming on.
Comfort Station nearby. With my popup I ask for a site near one if possible.
The entrance on our way out in the morning.
May not be too helpful but that's what I got.
