We are going back in May on rented points too, it will be during the last week of the festival. We were at WDW in the beginning of Dec last year too, I remember the COLD. Happy Thanksgiving.

It's looking pretty darn good so far! Nice and warm! 70-75! Our trip last December was FREEZING! Of course, our trip in January of 2010 was even colder!! I'm keeping all my fingers and toes crossed that it won't take a turn for the cold!

I have been too, yesterday there were 60's and 40's, now it says 70's and 50's woo hoo
. We were there last year when it was freezing and I am not wanting to go through that again.

If you have read any of our other trip reports (links in my signature line) you have seen that Bill and I are flip floppers, plan changers, resort modifiers, trip adjusters. I am the lets get the cheapest room, we are hardly ever there person and Bill, well Bill wants to stay everywhere, especially the deluxe resorts. I reason cheaper room = more nights, he doesnt worry about the prices like I do.
Bill is a very sweet loving guy. He always gets me something on our trips, I have received flowers a lot of times.
Last year he with the help of Toni and Terry (oregondaddyof2) he surprised me at Ohana with earrings, a necklace, and flower arrangement complete with a Cinderella slipper for my birthday and our anniversary. This picture is from that night back in the room at Pop.
He also made Terry go all over WDW with him until he found a Jim Shore snow globe to get me for Christmas.
He decided to do something for me this year as well since we will be in WDW on my birthday again. I tell him the trips with him, with the love of my life, are all the present I ever need, he doesnt seem to listen LOL. This time he was online plotting and planning with Toni and KathyRN137. He felt bad talking to Toni about things because she wasnt going to WDW this year and he didnt want to depress her, so he turned to Kathy for help. It seems when I babble on about things I read on the DIS and blogs that have to do with Disney he actually listens, especially one day when I told him about a blog post by Lurkyloo, aka Carrie. She has a fabulous blog Disney Travel Babble. I had told him about her post about a private dinner at WDW. Carrie had a wonderful dinner at the Tower of Terror and she also talked about a woman on the DIS that did a private dinner at the Grand Floridian.
Kathy worked with Pat from the Grand Floridian and she got things almost completed until the standard menu was discussed. Bill didnt like it and knew I wouldnt either but didnt know what to do. He finally broke down and told me what he was planning, I was surprised and was so touched that he wanted to do this, there was crying involved. Since he told me about it we thanked Kathy for all her help and took over the planning. I knew from reading on the DIS that we could get different entrees if we pushed it. So emailing back and forth began. Pat had sent an invoice from another couples private dinner and we liked what they ordered so I referenced that as we discussed things. I dont want to give any more away so you will have to read the trip report.
Bill didnt seem to think a private dinner at the Grand Floridian with a butler and seeing Holiday Wishes from our private table was enough. He decided it would be better if we started with Afternoon Tea and stay the night at the resort. I thought that was INSANE!!! My birthday is on a Friday, which in Disney Resort pricing is the most expensive night along with Saturday. I said NO WAY, not unless there was a discount, which I knew there hardly ever was. My plan for this not happening was thwarted by an Annual Pass discount. I finally relented. Now we are spending the night at the Grand Floridian in the middle of the Pop Century stay. I am not modifying the Pop Century reservation, we are leaving it as is.

Bill is a loving, wonderful soul. Yes, we will have Pop and the GF rooms at the same time. There is no way I am packing up 12 nights worth of stuff for one night at the GF. Also since we have a roll in shower room we are not having 2 separate reservations at Pop, not going to chance losing that accomodation.
