BIL called today--his wife was at his parents with their kids and ours sleeping overnight! So my MIL got to talk to him too, and two of his daughters (the 2 year old would not wake up--it was 6AM our time!)
He is in Balad, on a fire team going out every day to recover MIG fighters--much more dangerous than his standard duty of laundry and making the water drinkable. He volunteered so his men wouldn't have to go--the men without kids! But his wife and mom feel better because there has been a lot of activity there and they were very worried.
And yes, he got the box I sent 4/19 a few weeks ago.
So say a prayer for all the fathers still out there taking care of business, please.
