Biggest Loser "No Excuses" 2012 Team Challenge for Losers and Maintainers!!!

Kayla- Didn't get the tank as they only had an XS but I did get a great shirt with a bright pink Mickey on it. It was the same price as the tank.

Had a great walk with my BFF (redwalker). We walked for 100 minutes at about 3.8 mph! Then we got lunch at Subway!

I got some more stuff for the FE on PCC3.0. I also bought a pair of capris. I tried on a size 8 skort that was WAY TOO BIG! I also got myself two nice pairs of sunglasses as mine always tend to disappear.

I'm watching Deathly Hallows part 1 right now as it's on one of the movie channels. I need to fold the laundry I washed last night and finish my bottle of water before I go pick up the girls and run to the grocery store. I need milk, hamburger buns and bread.

I better get moving so I have time for my workout tonight!

Just a quick post to let you know I will (hopefully) have more time tomorrow to catch up! I haven't even read the thread and haven't been on since Friday :scared1: I'll have a lot of reading and replying to do. But, for now, I am finishing up work then have a training from 4-6. After that, it'll be home for dinner, helping the kids with homework, showers and bedtime. I am hoping to get to bed early tonight, too, since I've been so tired. So, I will try my hardest to catch up tomorrow. Hope everyone is well and have a great day!

melinda running in CP is fun, i'd like to do it more often. when i train for the marathon i think i will do my long runs on the weekends down there. i don't like to travel to run but if i'm going to be running 12+ miles, i might as well have something fun to look at while i'm running. you should do a race there! check out nyrr.org for upcoming races! the half marathons are next to impossible to get into though. they sell out immediately and have a lottery to get into them. it's nuts. but the shorter races are much easier to get into. i just signed up for the 10k on 5/12 yesterday with no problem. let me know if you decide on a race! i'll meet you :)

That would be awesome! I'd love to do that sometime! Do you run alone in Central Park on long runs? Do you feel safe? I only know what I've seen on TV or what people have told me that have been there. Even out in the country where I run I am a little freaked out to run alone. So much creepy stuff in the news lately!

==================

Well, I got in a 4 mile run and a 7 mile bike ride today. That was awesome, and I felt so good afterwards. Tomorrow I have planned some quarter mile repeats, so I will probably get in 2 or 3 miles with my warmup. Wednesday 3 miles, Thursday 2 miles, and Friday 1 easy mile, then Saturday is a half marathon! Woo hoo! I hope to PR. My time to beat is 3:19:something. Wish me luck!

I hope everyone has a great, OP day! I just had the Lean Cuisine Four Cheese Cannelloni, and it was pretty dang good for 6 points! Today will be OP!!! I must!

I'll check back in later, I'm sure!

Melinda :)

that pink tank is super cute but i definitely do NOT have the body to wear it aka my big ****s and fat rolls are not a good addition to minnie's big bow!

Before the weekly superstar list comes the disclaimer. I am human and I make mistakes. If you have any questions please contact me. For your reference this is the magic percentage of weight lost formula - weight loss for the week divided by weight for last week times 100, that gives us the percentage. Now let me test that with my numbers for week 1, click, click, click goes the calculator. Yes, that agrees with the percentage on the magic spreadsheet. (btw if its been more than 1 week between weigh-ins, then the % loss is divided by the number of weeks, to keep everybody on the same basis)

NOW FOR THOSE OF US WHO SET A GOAL FOR THE CHALLENGE!!!

NOTE: This list includes participants who have reported in within the last 3 weeks, once someone misses 3 weigh-ins they are dropped from this report.

How this works: You set your goal for what you want to lose in the challenge. Then I calculate your weight loss in the challenge divided by your goal to get a % to goal.

Anybody can change their goal at anytime (or add a goal) – all you have to do is send me a PM.

Since the goals are an individual thing, the list is just in alphabetical order to make it easier for everybody to find their own name. If there are any questions or suggestions please let me know.

We have done 16 out of 21 weeks, so the challenge is 76% complete.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

What is your plan of attack for the upcoming week?

This is the perfect question to tell all of you my wonderful news! :cool1:

I started my new job today!

CC ... I read this great idea one time about rewarding yourself with money. It was "kind of" a reward. You would give a family member or friend at work an allotted about of money. Then that person would pay you every week if you met your goal. If you didn't meet the goal, your friend or family member got to keep the money. So, you could give a friend 50.00 and lose a pound a week for 5 weeks. If you don't lose the pound, they get to keep the 10.00. It was a really interesting way to motivate someone.

I love this idea! Thank you! :thumbsup2

My biggest problem with making "diet" food is that my family likes all of it so I have to share--especially with DD 12! :rotfl: She loves soup and salads.

:rotfl2: I don't know why this cracked me up so much. LOL

cc how are you doing these days?

Thanks for asking! I am doing so much better! Going GF has helped so much. I am also on the right med combo as well. It took way too long for that to happen, but I'm so glad it did. Losing my job took a toll (hence the week without HHs even though it was months later) but that is neither here nor there anymore. Thanks again for asking! :)

Congrats to all our BLs and especially to Melinda!

QOTD: So the rest of the answer is that I am trying to prep anything any everything ahead of time. I made most of my lunch last night and am going to do the same every night through Thursday. I think I'm also going to prep breakfast as possible at night too.

I am off to pick out my outfit for tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a great, OP day tomorrow! :goodvibes

Great job, Melinda!!!!!

Glad to see my name up there! Hoping to see it again next week!

Congrats to all the losers and everyone who sent in their weight! Remember that we learn from out mistakes so if we have a bad week we can learn from what happened and just do better the next!

Tuesday QOTD: What book are you reading, just read or want to read?

I just finished reading Awakening from The Watchers Trilogy. Very interesting and I'll have to find the next one once I finish the other books I am reading. I read a lot of YA novels from when I used to be a 5th grade teacher. Avi is one of my favorite authors and I just finished Seer of Shadows. Another book I'm reading is the first book in the Familiars series. I have both books so if I ever finish the first I will read the 2nd one.

Last night I started reading The 5th Kingdom Keepers novel, Shell Game. I've read the first two chapters and I can't wait to read more tonight. It takes place on the Dream so I'm really interested in reading it!

Just did another 30 minutes on the elliptical while watching The Good Wife and now we are watching Harry's Law from last night. Hoping to get to bed early. Probably will get into bed early so I can read and then just let the Sand Man take over when he thinks it's time for me to sleep.

:cool1::woohoo: CONGRATULATIONS!!! :woohoo::cool1: That is wonderful. What are you doing?

:
I didn't know the 5th one had come out. I am so out of things. I haven't read the 4th one yet and can't even remember if I read the 3rd one. They are all on my dresser but I just never remember to grab them. I would probably like to have the 5th one on my ereader but since I have a Disney bedroom I will have to get the hard copy to add to the collection.

One of the counselors announced first thing this morning that she is starting WW today! I was just sitting there entering my breakfast on my ipod when she said it. She is doing it all online too. Until I told them today that I was doing WW too they had no idea that I was on a "diet" and of course that I have lost 50 pounds so far.

I managed to cut my breakfast points today, which has been a big problem. I have used up way to many points before I even get to lunch. My protein shake was 5pts and my carb (usually Go Lean Oatmeal or an Oat muffin) was about 4, plus my coffee and creamer. Today I had a shake with strawberries, banana, spinach, protein powder and almond milk. That cut out 2 points and then I had a cup of regular oatmeal which cut another point or 2. Then for lunch I had a salad with light Ginger/Soy dressing-- major point cut there from my usual ranch dressing, and a 3 point soup. So I cut the points and upped the fruits and veggies. I had a veggie stir fry for dinner with the small amount of chicken stir fry leftovers added for a very filling and low point dinner-- I even splurged on a cup of rice. I actually have about 6 points left for today! Usually I am using at least 6 weekly points every day. I am really determined to lose at least one if not 2 pounds this week and hit my goal of 5 pounds lost before May.

Yeah, Melinda! Congratulations! :cheer2:

Tuesday QOTD: What book are you reading, just read or want to read?

I'm an enormous reader - I set a goal of 50 books a year and read well into the 70s last year. :) I'm just starting The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman, which is the book my mommy book club chose for our meeting in May.

QOTD: i'm reading the book thief. i'm reading it like one page at a time:laughing: every time i lay in bed to read i'm falling asleep after 1-2 pages! at this rate i'll be done next year!

Ooh, I *loved* that book! He has a couple of others - if you find you like this one, try I Am the Messenger. It's a wonderful story.

LTS- It came out earlier this month and I just haven't had a chance to read it yet. Of course, Ashleigh said she wants to try and read it at the same times as me for a book report that will be assigned tomorrow. She is finishing up Mockingjay right now!

Nancy- Falling asleep 2-3 pages into reading at night has been happening to me a lot lately. I even took a nap yesterday afternoon when I was trying to read.

I have about 6 different books on my Kindle right now. I just downloaded a bunch of free ones the other day that sounded good.

Got a busy week ahead with different appointments! Ash has one tomorrow and then Izzie has one on Thursday during the day. I'm working tomorrow (2 clients) and all day on Wednesday (nothing that I know of yet) and then Friday and Saturday (1 client). Izzie came home sick this afternoon with a bad headache. Poor thing is so much like me as I used to get lots of headaches as a kid. Still do now! Just emailed her teacher that she will be in tomorrow. She came home and got right in bed and slept about 45 minutes. Missed dancing again!

Think I'll get my pjs on and get in bed and read. Watching the Red Sox game now. I had better get reading before Ashleigh needs the book!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

What is your plan of attack for the upcoming week?

My plan of attack will be healthy eating and lots of exercise. I plan on getting up every morning at 5 this week to do the elliptical. Lots and lots of water and no junk all week! Got too much riding on getting healthy!

Time to get some more laundry done!

TTFN :tigger:

My sister let me borrow her Jillian Michaels Body Revolution while she is away - so I started that today hoping to jump start things. So far, so good. I have lunches and dinner's ready to go until Thursday.

Tuesday QOTD: What book are you reading, just read or want to read?

Currently I am reading Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption. Awesome book - it's about an Olympian runner, who joins the Air Force during WWII. His plane goes down and he becomes a POW.

Next I have Stephen King's 11/22/63, then I want to read the Game of Thrones series.

that pink tank is super cute but i definitely do NOT have the body to wear it aka my big ****s and fat rolls are not a good addition to minnie's big bow!

I didn't even know the 5th kingdom keepers book was out! I guess I'm a little behind!

Well, right now I am reading 4 different books. I've been focused on the 4th Kingdom Keeper's book but I am also slowly going through Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (I think I am continuously rereading all of these), Tarzan (very good so far! It's on my kindle so I'm saving it for the drive to Florida), and Abe Lincoln Vampire Hunter. This one is kind of creepy but I saw the trailer for the movie and I'm quite interested in how it'll be.

i love this dress. love it. i like that it has that "wrap dress" look but without too much cleavage.

QOTD: i'm reading the book thief. i'm reading it like one page at a time:laughing: every time i lay in bed to read i'm falling asleep after 1-2 pages! at this rate i'll be done next year!

Yeah, Melinda! Congratulations! :cheer2

I Am the Messenger was amazing! I love Markus Zusak.

3rd post today? Wow, I'm on a roll!

My brother bought his first car today so that's what we've been doing all evening. I got home, sat down for 5 minutes and sprung up so I could get 30DS in. Finished and had some delicious pasta for dinner, I am so tired!

Hope you have a peaceful evening. :goodvibes

Tuesday QOTD: What book are you reading, just read or want to read?

I am currently reading the second in the prey series by John Sandford. Before that I read the first Kingdom Keepers and although it was ok I am not sure if the rest of the series will be too samey. Next I am going to read "We bought a zoo" which I gather has just been made in to a film although the film is set in US even though the book is english and is set in the UK!!
