Biggest Loser "No Excuses" 2012 Team Challenge for Losers and Maintainers!!!

Thanks to all of you for all the well wishes! Feeling much better today. :goodvibes

Did get to go to the gym yesterday. Spent 15 minutes on the elliptical (longest so far! :woohoo:) and 45 on the treadmill, burning over 400 calories and walking 2.5 miles. And...I did my first 16 minute mile! About killed myself trying to make it, but I made it! Couldn't do it on the 2nd mile but I did the 2nd in about 17 minutes which wasn't too bad in my opinion. :goodvibes It probably would have helped if I had eaten something beforehand though cause I was already tired by the 1st half mile, not to mention that I hadn't been to the gym in the past 5 days... :sad2: Still trying to figure out how long to wait after eating before exercising...

I'm also thinking that I'm needing to get fitted for some running shoes soon, mostly because I was noticing pain in my joints that quit as soon as I got off the treadmill. Either that or I need to work on my form when I walk. Do have the regular soreness in my legs after a long walk, but I'm finding that I like it now. Really makes me feel like I've accomplished something. :)

Laundry (Does the laundry ever cease in this house?!) and housework for today. And tonight...FISH TACOS!!

If you are walking only, you will want to be fitted for walking shoes, not runners. Foot fall is different and support needs are different.that said, if you are using the same shoes for both walking and running, then I think you do need running shoes.

Mmmmmmm....fish tacos!

Well unfortunatly nothing outstandingly awesome happened today, but i didn't really expect to have two amazing days in a row! Today was just a normal day, and I'm still happy about yesterday.

What I didn't get done in working out I more than made up for in my homework. I managed to write 8 pages of my rough draft, i plan on writing more this weekend, but i only need to hand in 7 so i feel relieved that i'm technically done.

I do have a lot of stuff to put away and clean up around the house, which I haven't been getting done but I've been busy!

Tomorrow my dog gets his teeth cleaned! I am worried about him going under anestesia so any good thoughts sent our way tomorrow would be great!

Prayers for your dog's health and your peace of mind on their way.

QOTD: Water: I have just made it a habit. I agree with Lisah0711 that water consumption being so important is a myth. One thing I think it does for me is it helps me feel full all the time, so I don't reach for something unhealthy. I love that aspect of it and its why I drink a lot of water. I sometimes get the flats of water, but I have been using the Brita water bottles and love them. It makes my water taste GREAT!

QOTD: Veggies: I am a vegetarian and have been for a very long time and fortunately, I love all veggies. It's not hard for me to get my veggies in! Last night I had some baby bell peppers with a 100 Cal Pack of guacamole and it was amazingly good! YUM! I also like veggies with hummus. Or grilled veggies.

=====================
Kristina I love your new doggie! So cute! Congrats on the anniversary and going to Vegas! Have fun!

CC What you're going through is totally normal and we have all been there. So glad you posted about it! You are going to get back on that wagon and continue as usual. That is a given! Congrats on the courage to post and continue this journey! You are amazing!

---------------------------
We are here! We arrived in Orlando yesterday afternoon. We are staying at Bonnet Creek Resort in a 3 BR Presidential. It is absolutely gorgeous! We went to Hollywood Studios today. It was amazing! Animal Kingdom tomorrow. We walked about 12 miles today! I tracked it on my RunKeeper. We came back to the resort early, so the kids could swim. I got a nap, got up and went to the fitness facility and ran a mile in 12:00 and biked a mile in 4:30. Now I am just chilling with my kids, watching TV, while my hubby sleeps. So glad to be here and exercising! We ate at Mama Melrose's today. I got the Penne alla Vodka pasta. I only ate about 1/3 of it, and was stuffed! Tomorrow I hope to find some healthy options. I usually get the salad at Flame Tree BBQ. Have a good night all, and I hope to report in tomorrow night. Animal Kingdom is only open until 8:00 so that should be totally possible! Goodnight!:thumbsup2:cool1:

Sounds like a marvelous day! Hope today is terrific as well!

Remember to weigh-in tomorrow with Sue. Good luck my loser friends!

It has been a pleasure coaching you this week! :goodvibes I hand the reins to Lisa. Have a great weekend and for anyone celebrating Easter and/or Passover, have a peaceful holiday.

Thank you! Happy Easter to you as well!

Morning friends!thought I'd pop on a bit early, as I will be heading out on errands after I drop the kids at school.

For the person who asked about the 100 calorie guacamole, the name is Wholly Guacamole. They sell larger packs as well as the smaller 100 cal packs. It is usually sold in the produce dept. It is really yummy and healthy and keeps a long time in the fridge unopened.

I'm heading to Target this morning to buy my easter stuff. I don't think I've ever waited this long. Hope the good stuff isn't sold out! And I have NO IDEA what to get for Ds's basket.

Well...off to wake up DD....her alarm has been chirping for at least 10 minutes, but she hasn't moved.

Happy Goood Friday to those who celebrate. TTYL..............P

Good morning all! :goodvibes

Thank you Mary•Poppins for coaching this week! :flower3: You had some great questions and responses. ::yes::

I'm Lisa and I will be coaching this week. I live in the part of Idaho that is in the Pacific Time Zone so will try to post the QOTD in the evening so you East Coast folks have it in the morning. :thumbsup2

So let's get to it! :yay:

With a holiday week-end coming up things seem a bit more busy than usual. For me, those times are the hardest to keep my healthy lifestyle.

Here is an excerpt from a sparkpeople.com article called Fitting Healthy Habits Into Your Hectic Life: 13 Tips to Get More Nutrition and Fitness into Your Day

There just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day to accomplish everything you need to do. And it can feel like an added stressor when you are trying to integrate healthy habits into your already hectic schedule. But if you make time for healthy habits, you’ll find yourself with extra reserves of energy that will lower your stress and help you get through life’s challenges.

Here are a few things you can start doing right now to make healthy habits a relatively painless part of your routine:

1. Drink water throughout the day.
2. Cut back on the amount of soda and coffee you drink.
3. Replace high-sugar foods with low-sugar versions.
4. Stock up on healthy, portable snacks.
5. Take the time to plan healthy meals for the week.
6. Purchase frozen, ready-to-cook ingredients.
7. Pack your lunch the night before.
8. Cook double batches of whatever you’re cooking.
9. Give yourself some slack.
10. Fit in exercise whenever you can.
11. Take a walk break during the day.
12. Whenever possible, walk. Increase
13. Get enough sleep.

QOTD Friday 4/6/12: Which of these healthy habits can you fit into your life this week-end? Or do you have another tip to fit healthy habits into your life?

BRB with some replies.

Trina, sending good thoughts to you and your sweet puppy today! :flower3:

Melinda, so glad that you are having a great time in Orlando! :cool2: I admire you for working out in addition to tracking 12 miles walked. :worship:

Mary•Poppins thanks again for coaching this week! :goodvibes I will be interested to hear if your weigh in shows the "coaching effect." :cool2: I lost 1/2 a pound just by starting coaching today!

I had no ideas that high-tops and neon was back in style!!!:confused3:laughing:

:lmao: Everything comes back into style eventually!

Nice job on the workout! :thumbsup2

Susan, glad that you are feeling better. :flower3: Did TSO only do their other material in concert? I've seen them twice but it was always around the holidays. :santa:

Have you ever heard of Paul McKenna? I've just started listening to his hypnosis/meditating download.

Do you get those on iTunes? I am always wanting to try mediation but I tell you I have such a hard time getting my brain to quiet down. :hippie:

Looks like I sweated my gain last week for no reason becasue I lost a solid number this week. Only about 5lbs away from my goal for May! Maybe I can even surpass it by a couple pounds before the challenge is over!!

Great job getting close to your goal! :thumbsup2 It will be fun to go shopping for new clothes. You may be surprised at what size you fit into! :goodvibes

I'm heading to Target this morning to buy my easter stuff. I don't think I've ever waited this long. Hope the good stuff isn't sold out! And I have NO IDEA what to get for Ds's basket.

Good luck with the Easter shopping! :goodvibes Grooming items are a big part of DS' basket this year. We are using a smaller basket so there isn't so much chocolate -- I doubt he will notice anything but the cash.

QOTD Friday 4/6/12: Which of these healthy habits can you fit into your life this week-end? Or do you have another tip to fit healthy habits into your life?

I have a bad tendency to forget to answer my own QOTD. :rotfl:

I can use all of the tips but mostly this week-end I am using "Cut yourself some slack." With travelling and catching up at work things at home are not in the best of shape. I'm making it through day by day instead of by the week. Luckily since we had our big Easter dinner on vacation we are doing something easy in the crockpot on Sunday. And this is an easy week on my running schedule. So I will use that time to relax, regroup and do a little planning to make sure I'm ready for next week. Because really many of the things that are stressing me the most will be just fine if they aren't tended to right away or ever. :hippie:

Have a great day all! :goodvibes

Welcome to Healthy Habits!

Every week you will have 4 “Habits” to do each day. There will also be 2 Mini-Challenges. These will be something like “Exercise for 45 minutes simultaneously once during the week.” The “Habits” will be things that are essential for good “Health.” One might be “Drink 6 8 oz. glasses of water per day.” I will be very clear about which 4 are for all 7 days and which 2 are the Mini-Challenges.

The Healthy Habits “week” is the same as for weigh-ins. A new “week” begins on Friday and ends on Thursday. At the end of each week, total your points and PM (private message) me them. Please list your total points in the subject of your PM. In the body of your PM, please separate each “Habit” and mini-challenge. Here is an example.
Habit #1: 5/7 days
Habit #2: 4/7 days
Habit #3: 7/7 days
Habit #4: 1/7 days
Mini-Challenge #1: Completed
Mini-Challenge #2: Not Completed

This will allow me to recognize participants who earned 7/7 for 1 or more “Habits.” It also gives me feedback for future weeks.

Please PM me your points by Tuesday at 5 PM Eastern Time. I will post the results as soon as possible after that. Everyone who participates will be entered into the “hat” for a chance at the prize. I have bought many of the prizes already and I think they are great! :)

It is optional to participate, but I know I do so much better when I participate. :goodvibes

Welcome to Healthy Habits Week 13: Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin (R) and Toy Story Mania!(R)

Buzz, Woody, and the gang have some great traits as they complete mission after mission. Well, we're not going to have that happen to us! Buzz, Woody, and the gang have persistence and so will we! They are also thinkers and planners. My favorite trait of them all though, is their happiness, which I believe comes from the bond they share with one another. That is something we have here and I know is "beyond" helpful for many, if not all, of us! :cool1:

For All 7 Days:

Are you still using your journals? I hope so! No mission is successful without the proper fuel. So,

1. Your “Habit” is to drink 8 8 oz. glasses of water per day.

2. As you go about your day, write down everything you eat. This week, your “Habit” is to write down all the foods and caloric beverages you drink AND record one nutritional aspect of it (calories, fat, carbs, points, etc.).

3. Eat 2 servings of protein per day. (I'll let you decide what counts, but don't call your dairy serving your protein serving too.)

4. End your day with a mantra. A good one is "I am healthy." Remember, emotional health is essential too! :goodvibes

Now that we've got our fuel, we need our fitness.

Mini-Challenges:

1. Is your fitness plan ready for the month? Stick to it! If you complete all of your planned workouts, you completed this Mini-Challenge!

2. Did you include any strength training in your exercise plan? Include at least one strength training session during the week. Ten minutes is a great start!

Please, please feel free to ask any questions. You are welcome to PM me or post on the thread.

Hope everyone has a great week!

(I recycled this one because I loved it so much!)

try[/U] mediation but I tell you I have such a hard time getting my brain to quiet down. :hippie:
I bought his book" I can make you thin" and it cam with a disc and download code but I cant remember if it was I-tunes:confused3 Bought it a long time ago and got it onto my ipod and promptly forgot to listen to it or read the book til now:lmao: It is quite a good read and so far I'm enjoying the relaxation part too:thumbsup2

BRB with some replies.

I'm going to go for number 12. Although I think I could do with giving most of these a try:)

Hi all,

In a horrible mood after talking to my mother. She's trying to make me feel guilty for going away for 2 weeks this summer. She will have already been at my house for almost 2 months when we leave and I couldn't get her to commit to when they were coming and how long they were staying. I called my aunt to chat with her as my mom had just gotten off the phone with her. I'm very frustrated and just can't take all the negativity! I haven't felt this aggravated in a long time. I would love a good cry right now but promised the girls we would go out shopping and then register them fir dancing in the fall. We are also going to pick up some pad thai to have with our chicken tonight!

Need to get the girls moving. We haven't even colored the Easter eggs yet. I guess we will do those later today. Ash really wanted to go out with her friend tonight but I'm just not in the mood.

On a positive note: WE ARE PAID IN FULL FOR THE CRUISE!!!! Now we will get to book an excursion while in Nassau and I can schedule a massage!

I did 40 minutes on the elliptical earlier! I may do more tonight to get me out of this funk I am in!

TTFN :tigger:

PS Sorry to be Debbie Downer! Just needed to vent!

On a positive note: WE ARE PAID IN FULL FOR THE CRUISE!!!! !
Yahoo! That is fabulous. Congratulations.

Survived the 3 recesses and even got a run in, although I did have to go home and take a couple hour break. Don't know why I thought I could stand for 1.5 hours then go run.

Yesterday was kinda crazy. My parents have been snowbirding in Arizona and they drove into town and spent the night on their way home. They stayed at an RV park, so that was kinda nice. While waiting to pick DS2 up from baseball practice I called them to see if they wanted me to get them and bring them to our house. They said they were already on their way! DH got to entertain them until we got home (all of 10 minutes ;)). I just had burgers planned for dinner, so cooked them and some fries with a salad. Then DH and I had a meeting for parents of seniors. We dashed off to that. Texted DS1 and he was just getting on the bus to come home from his baseball game. (They lost.) The meeting didn't last long, but boy did they cram in the info! We went back home and soon DS1 was home. Nice to be all together with grandma and grandpa. Grandpa was tuckered out because he'd been driving 3 long days. I think they were glad to just sit and visit. Just a quick couple hours and they will be home.

One of the things they brought was some dishes and a quilt from a cousin. The quilt had been her grandmother's. We unfolded the quilt and it is just amazing. Definitely made from men's shirts, cousin thought it was "channel" pattern, but she's not a quilter. It looked like log cabin to me, but I'm not a quilter either! All hand stitching and it is in very good shape. I was expecting holes, but there's just a wee one in the backing and a tiny bit of fraying on one edge. Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but it's nice to have.

Yesterday after my sub jobbed I dashed to see DS2's choir concert. They were amazing. He said it was the best they'd sang. It was a district competition and I guess they will find out today who won. Today is the start of league baseball. Trying to figure out which parent will be able to make which game is going to be a challenge this season. The boys never play at the same location and they always play at the same time! It is times like this when we need another car! :wizard:

Need to check the basket supply--I know I don't have bunnies for the boys so should hit the store before my sub job. Today I realized that in just 2 days I can have chocolate covered almonds again! Pretty excited. But I will be good and limit myself to just 1 serving a day--make those 11 almonds last!

Probably walking whenever possible. For instance, when I go do errands, I always park at the far end of the parking lot to get some extra walking in. Every little bit helps! :thumbsup2

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Lost another 2lbs this week! And with TOM deciding to stop in this week, I'll take it! :woohoo:

Got some free time today, so I think I'm going to work on some of my projects that I've been meaning to finish and probably a workout too.

Happy weigh-in team!

I am so tired! I work at 7am every friday but some fridays I am just more exhasuted than others.

Puppy made it through his teeth cleaning except they had to pull SEVEN TEETH! He no longer has any bottom front teeth! I feel so bad! I cannot express enough the importance of dental care in your dogs!!!! I dont even want to think about how much this is going to cost me!!!!

I did not weigh in yet today but i doubt it will be great. I desperatly need a nap now though. Depending on my homeowrk situation i may come back to chat later!

Village Slacker, checking in!!

I really need to get better at this, lol.

QOTD: April 4th

This is one area I tend to struggle with ... so this is my question ...

How much water do you drink during the day? If you drink the 64ozs, what do you do to ensure you drink the whole amount by the end of the day?

I try to drink 64oz a day. I went and got a Tervis Tumbler that is so pretty it makes me want to use it :-p I fill it up three times during the day to try and get my water it- it usually works!

Eating vegetables are so important for good health. What is your favorite way to eat your veggies? Do you have a recipe you would like to share?

I've started making Lighthouse Sandwiches from CHH to get my veggies in- so tasty! I also like to eat baby carrots and green beans with lunch a lot.

BRB with some replies.

I will try nos. 1, 4, 11, and 13. They are usually pretty manageable over the weekends :) Plus some motivation- my friend is taking a bunch of people out on her boat this weekend, and I get to come! It will motivate me to drink lots of water and eat healthy stuff so I don't look all puffy in my bathing suit!

Happy Easter everyone!!

Hi all,

Feeling better tonight! Raspberry white Russian and some pad thai may have helped!

Eggs are being decorated as I type. Had a successful trip to KMart this afternoon and then registered the girls for dancing for the fall. Got Izzie another sundress for the cruise and Ash got a shirt dress and short leggings. I also got a tank top. Found Hotel for Dogs for $5 for Ash's basket. Also got Ash a plastic bow and arrow set and a Hunger Games poster and pants that she can wear for Spirit Day this coming week. She wants to be Katniss! She's actually going to see the movie with her BFF shortly!

Going to try and watch a few episodes of Game of Thrones that we recorded last weekend. We had seen the 1st episode but we don't have HBO> Got it on a free weekend. Watching Ghost Hunters International right now!

Gotta figure out our Easter dinner menu and I need to get the dining rrom table cleared off. Finally posted some photos from the last month on mt FB page.

That was me. :goodvibes Thank you. I am going to start looking for that when I go shopping.

Good morning all! :goodvibes

I'm Lisa and I will be coaching this week. I live in the part of Idaho that is in the Pacific Time Zone so will try to post the QOTD in the evening so you East Coast folks have it in the morning. :thumbsup2

Thank you Lisa for coaching this week! :flower3: May the coaching weight-gods be with you! :)

I am going with #1. I am not good at this and I really need to get back on the wagon with it. When I drink all of my water, I find that I don't feel as hungry and then don't snack.

Sometimes getting things off your chest makes a world of difference.

:woohoo:

That is great!!! Keep up the great work!

Got some free time today, so I think I'm going to work on some of my projects that I've been meaning to finish and probably a workout too.

Happy weigh-in team!

TTFN :tigger:

So glad you are doing better!

I have been off all week and only got a few things done on my list. Sigh ... Need to get myself in gear tomorrow.

A quick reminder to please PM your weigh in info to Sue and your HH to CC.

Also, the Disboards are switching servers over the week-end and there was a warning on FB that it may be down or there may be issues. :goodvibes:

Ye be warned . . . pirate:

Thanks Everyone! I had a pretty good day today. I took 2 different naps. I did not sleep well on Wednesday night and then spent a lot of yesterday at church. I had someplace to be before Mass as well. That sort of came in handy as I then got to church early enough to reserve seats for my friend and her two kids plus another one of my friends and myself. The kids are 18 months and 2 months so their mother likes to sit in a certain area in case she needs to leave. I also like to sit where I can leave. I sometimes find church stressful and have been known to leave to cry somewhere more private. I also use the bathroom frequently. (And yet I still don't drink enough water. I was actually so worried about this that I had my glucose level tested. I was fine and quite relieved!) Mass went really well-no problems with friends (hence the crying sometimes) and my friend only had to leave to BF, not because the kids were screaming. :cloud9:

I ate as OP as possible today. My father cooked dinner and made the tuna salad for lunch so I'm not entirely sure how OP it was. I am hungry now, so I may have something else to eat. I haven't had any fruit today, so I will probably have a banana.

My mother seems to finally agree that I need to eat GF. It has been much more peaceful regarding this the last few days! :yay: The more and more we have meals that are naturally GF, the less of a problem it is becoming. It is also nice that foods are being labeled GF. It makes shopping much easier, with less questioning involved, and is giving us so many more options. We had tater tots with dinner tonight and they were GF. My parents think that is wonderful. They are finding my diet much less restrictive and that is helping a lot.

Janis suggested meditation. I took a class called Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. It is based on the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn who found that meditation helps people experiencing chronic pain, emotional distress, and many more. I found the class very helpful and I am continuing to use what I learned. I am usually good about spending time meditating, but unfortunately, I was so stressed that I wasn't even thinking about using meditation as a de-stresser. I was not thinking clearly and couldn't settle my mind. I am better now and will hopefully return to meditating daily. I do find it very helpful.

I have a few more things to do and then I'm off to bed.

Have a great, OP day tomorrow!

Quick fly-by post. Sounds like everyone is doing well! We went to Animal Kingdom and it was amazing! The parks are super busy right now! We are going to Magic Kingdom tomorrow = my favorite! We are headed to the pool at Bonnet Creek Resort, and the lazy river, right now. Have a great night everyone! Oh, I had the salad (minus the chicken) at Flame Tree BBQ today and it was great! BBQ sauce (just a little) as the dressing, and the salad veggies were very fresh and delicious!

I laughed when I read the part Walk 12 miles and went back to the hotel early. Only someone that goes to WDW would understand that you can walk that far and end the day early!!!! I was just trying to plan a few meals for our summer trip. All I have so far is LeCellier for lunch. It's DH favorite restaurant in Epcot and we haven't eaten here for a few years. Hoping things are better here since they went to a signature dining spot. I was just checking out Prime Time Cafe - we have never eaten here - but I haven't been to Mama Melrose in a while either. Decisions, decisions.

Cadburys creme eggs arent as bad as you might think-3.5 pts on old ww system and at least they are 1 portion sized:lmao:

Have you ever heard of Paul McKenna? I've just started listening to his hypnosis/meditating download.

No I haven't but I will check him out. I had looked into transcendental meditation - but didn't feel the need to spend $1500. :scared1:

Good morning all! :goodvibes

#9 speaks to me. Plus I could work on 12 and 13. So to help me with this - I took today off from work!!!!

Hi all,

PS Sorry to be Debbie Downer! Just needed to vent!

Hope your day got better. Congrats on the cruise being paid for!!! The day we were in Nassau we rented a room at a hotel accross the street (Days Inn??) from Atlantis - got a great rate $90 - as a hotel guest we had full access to Atlantis pools.

Poor Puppy!!! My dog could use braces - his front bottom teeth are all crooked. I'm lucky he let's me brush his teeth.

Hey everyone!!! I hope you are all doing well. I had the day off today and have finally started doing my taxes, and as I anticipated - it ain't pretty. I wished I had taken last tuesday off. DS had his wrestling banquet - DH had a meeting and couldn't attend either. He received his Varsity letter and we weren't there to see it. Didn't bother DS in the least - it's just the typical working Mother's guilt hitting. Life will go on. I will be cooking our Easter dinner tomorrow, we are going to my Sisters on Easter sunday. I am in charge of the vegies - went to the farm today and got that out of the way. Went to BJ's - saved $75 with coupons!!!! I love that they take manufacturer coupons on top of their own. I felt like a coupon Pro!!!

Planning on hitting Breakheart for a walk tomorrow. On Sunday I will be picking Dad up early for church, then we can go get coffee and visit his brothers for a bit - then on to my Sisters for dinner. Everyone have a nice weekend!!!

Janis

Good Saturday morning everyone.

Sorry I have not been on the last couple of days. Thursday I had to get ready for the last day of school. I had to pack some things up to give to a couple of people. I had made my friend some wool socks and I wanted her to have them before she left for Scotland to visit her daughter. I also had to pack up a blanket and baby sweater that I had made for a couple in the school who had a baby.

Yesterday ds2 came home for Easter. He is excited about graduation coming up. He was telling me that he got his cap and gown and about the classes he is taking this summer to start his masters. It is an exciting time for him but it make me a little sad to know that he is moving on and won't be moving back here when he graduates next month. But I keeping telling myself that it is what a mother does hope for.

I need lots of PD for ds1. There are lot of rumors about positions at his job but nothing has been posted yet. Please send the PD that things work out for him. Then maybe he will move out too. (he's sloppier than his brother and has been home for 3 years now so it is time for him to move out).

We have had a controversy this weekend. My nephew is getting married in June. Ds1 is in the wedding party. DS1 has been dating his gf for almost 8 years now. His invitation did not include his gf. we called his cousin and her invitation was for her and a guest. I think my ds is going to call his cousin. It was also pretty funny that my sons invitations were sent to their grandparent's house 30 miles away and my bil's kids got their but my bil did not get his yet.

We also have to decide where we are going to stay. We would like to stay with bil but he and his family are staying 10 miles away. When we checked out that place we did not get the same price they did. We got a price that was about the same price as the place where the reception is. I think it would be nice to be able to just go up to the room. But it would also be nice to visit with bil (they live in Kansas) so we have to think about this.

Well I have to get to the grocery store before it gets too crazy. I only need a couple of things for tomorrow. I am cooking a ham and an orange chiffon cake.

Have a happy and healthy day.

 Interesting! Maybe they just like to be noticed?

Good morning everyone!

Looks like I sweated my gain last week for no reason becasue I lost a solid number this week. Only about 5lbs away from my goal for May! Maybe I can even surpass it by a couple pounds before the challenge is over!!

I think we're heading out to shop this weekend for vacation clothes. I'm equally happy and nervous. I actually had to put a belt around a pair of shorts I wore just a month ago. I'm excited for new clothes, but I'm nervous that they might not fit by May!!

Thanks to this weeks coach and for this coming week's coach!!

Have a fabulous day everyone! :goodvibes

Clothes too big is a great problem to have! And nice job on the loss! You are in a position to destroy your goal!

Good morning all! :goodvibes

QOTD Friday 4/6/12: Which of these healthy habits can you fit into your life this week-end? Or do you have another tip to fit healthy habits into your life?

BRB with some replies.

hey Lisa....thanks for coaching!

For this particular weekend I'm aiming for 1, 5, 10, 11, 12, and 13......but most assuredly #9. We aren't having our usual double holiday celebration because my parents aren't home from FL yet. So today is a regular type Saturday. Since I will be missing out on my cousin's onion casserole, which is my biggest holiday temptation/indulgence, I am planning on a totally OP day today and one (just one) treat tomorrow. No need to totally fall apart.

Exercise is on schedule today, but probably not tomorrow...but will try to talk someone into taking a walk with me tomorrow if the weather permits.

Thanks once again for a super duper HH!

Sounds a bit like one of my crazy days!

The quilt sounds wonderful. You should talk to some family members to see if you can get a solid provenance on it.

Sorry he had to lose teeth. But glad he made it through ok!

Good Saturday morning everyone.

Maybe the person who has been addressing/sending the invites isn't familiar with who goes with whom (like maybe the brides mom?).

Prayers for both of your boys and their jobs and living situations.

************

Happy Easter weekend friends! As i mentioned above, we aren't having our usual double holiday this weekend because my parents have only made it as far north as PA. They will be celebrating with my brother and his family. Guess my cousin who usually hosts decided not to this year. But we will be with DH's family tomorrow after church and it will be a fun day.

Did my Easter bunny shopping yesterday.....couldn't find the dark chocolate Lindt bunnies that the kids like, so I bought Dove dark chocolate bunnies. hope that is ok.Bought some practical stuff (whitening toothpaste, undies) and some fun stuff (Legos, jewelery) for the baskets. Need to get the baskets from the attic today and fill the eggs for tomorrow's hunt at DSIL's.

Felt a bit bloated yesterday and the number on the scale wasn't quite what I was looking for, so took another peek today and it was much better!

Today's breakfast was tasty and healthy (hot quinoa cereal) but not nearly filling enough.

Time to make beds and hit the TM. Going to the mall later to hopefully find prom shoes and purse for DD. TTYL...........P
