Hello everyone! I am Melinda and I am a stay at home mom, and I volunteer a lot. I have six children ages 20, 17, 15, 14, 13, and nearly 12. We are a busy family, but we have a lot of fun staying active. Exercise is by far easier for me than the eating healthy part. I love to run (and I'm getting faster with less weight to carry over that finish line). I have lost nearly 15 pounds since this challenge started. This is my first Biggest Loser challenge. I started running nearly two years ago, and my half marathon PR is 3:19. When I first started running my pace was over 18 minutes per mile, and with hard work and losing some weight, I am newly in the 12:something per mile (most of the time), or 13:something, and I owe it all to this thread and Weight Watchers online. I am signed up for a lot of races, but the Disney races I have coming up are the Tower of Terror 10 Miler and the Wine and Dine Half 2012, and I hope to get to do WDW Half Marathon 2013. Disney races I have done so far: WDW Half 2011,
Disneyland Half 2011, Neverland 5K 2012, and Inaugural Tinker Bell Half 2012.
I am a vegeterian, and I enjoy quilting when I ever have time, and movies.
My goals: for this challenge: lose 15 more pounds, for a total of 30, and to set a new half marathon PR, even if just by a few seconds, or preferably - minutes.
