Biggest Loser last night

So, what did you all think? I thought it was ashame to see the blue team leader voted off. Especially since they were all only there because he had picked them. He really looked great at the end of the show though.

I thought the same thing. He seemed like such a nice guy too. I think the girl that couldn't be voted off (can't remember her name right now) could have been the one voted off if she hadn't lost the most weight yesterday. I think she just ticked a lot of people off with that challenge.

I couldn't agree more! I was so upset that they voted Jerry off. I have to wonder that if the two members did not eat at that challenge if they would have lost more. I know if that was me I would have not risked eating all those calories for 3 lbs! 3 lbs is 3 lbs but they are trying to teach you a healthier lifestyle and you just can't give in to the temptation because of a reward. Jerry did look awesome at the end of the show.

I agree. I couldn't believe that they voted Jerry off the show. I was mad until I saw how much he did on his own. He looks great. I wonder if the show gives any help to the ones voted off?

I missed the beginning of the show, so didn't see the whole part about the challenge. I'll try and view it on line today.

It will be interesting to see, as the weeks go by, how/why people select who to vote off. Early on you want to keep people on your team who are dedicated and successful, but when it gets down to fewer people, those are the ones that are your biggest threat and you want to vote off.

I've never watched a full season before...do they re-arrange teams or go to individual challenges at some point?

The winner is usually a young to youngish guy. I think men can lose more in a set time, and almost always have more to lose. There was Ryan, Matt & Erik. Unless he is voted off, I think Phil will win this season, he fits the mold. If I was on the blue team, I would have voted a young guy off. Jerry was not a threat to win everything.

jackie -- yes they will go individuals when it's down to less folks. i don't know if there is a magic number, i kinda remember around 6-8 left? they have never, that i recall, merged teams or rearranged teams. Heck, Erik had Bob all to himself for a week or two last season, he was the only Blue team member left

one thing DH and I were like --- yuck! the temptation food was all store bought processed junk food! i bet those that ate had a bellyache

I was so disappointed to see Jerry go, but was very impressed with his results to date, he looked awesome. I think a lot of times the teams really think of who they think could continue on their own without the ranch and if that was their thinking they were right on and boy did Jerry show them!

Debbie, those are my thoughts EXACTLY. I was upset at the unfairness, thought he did GREAT (and looked good, too!) and I bet that he is at a level that he can maintain, too.

The other thing that I thought was for all their hours of working out, their losses aren't a whole lot different than what we hear here each week-2, 3, 4, 5 pounds. That reminds me that we should be proud of ANY weight loss that we have!
