Biggest Loser Alumni Holiday Edition: past, present and future participants welcome!

Good morning!

First day of winter break for my kiddos. They were still up early though.

QOTD: I would be Happy. I love this time of year. The kids are home, DH is home till after New Years. I have all the shopping/wrapping done - now it is time to relax.

Cupcake: I am liking the new WW program. It still baffles me that I can eat more points and lose weight. I love that I can have fruit for 0 points!

Good Morning!

QOFD - Happy! My name is Sonya, but when I was little, my grandfather called me Sunny because I was always happy. My husband hasn't called me Sonya in years, just Sunny. :sunny:

Tea Pot - Thanks for the welcome

Pudge the fish - HI!

Taryn - Sounds like you've got some good girls. Glad Sophie liked her Barbie.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Sunny :sunny:

On the sixth day of the holiday challenge my true love gave to me . . . eight minutes relaxing, seven laps of swimming, six days of journaling, five happy WISH'ers, four motivating words, three sets of ten, two exercise gloves, and a big glass of water for me!:santa:
:welcome: pudge the fish! I have to say that is a very interesting user name and I am wondering the backstory behind it. I'm glad to see that you are jumping in and joining us. This is a great group of folks! :flower3:
Have a great day all!

If anyone has seen Lilo and Stich they know that Pudge the Fish controls the weather. Lilo would feed him a Peanut butter sandwich every day.

Back story: we had made plans for a Disney weekend get away for DH & Myself.
The weather was supposed to be wonderful. Well the day before we had a strange coldish /rain front come through and it was going to be a miserable all weekend. we had booked a tour but it was cancelled due to rain. I was a tad upset ... our Youngest DD came into the room with a peanut butter sandwich and said I made this for Pudge the Fish so it would be nice out. She was about 5at the time and felt it would help. DH said well you have to be Pudge cause I hate Peanut butter.
so now before every Disney visit we joke about feeding Pudge the Fish a Peanut butter Sandwich for good weather...

QOTD If you were one of the seven dwarfs, which one would you be today -- Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, Doc, Sneezy, Bashful or Dopey?
Today I am Sneezy- I am trying to get over a bad cold :( I have so much to do and feel icky. I am trying to do basics at work and rest up. I work for a non- profit and believe me, we are just as busy as retail is this time of year.

Thank you all for the nice welcomes!! I am glad I am here!

Hi, everyone! I have been reading but haven't had time to post. Life is crazy busy. I've gone from one huge case to the next and am only now coming up for air for the first time in more than a month. Now I'm buried in all the end-of-year admnistrative stuff that I manage for my firm.

It is so wonderful to get to know new WISHers who will be in the spring challenge. It is going to be an awesome group. Love hearing about everyone's holiday plans, too. Today is Howard and my 26th wedding anniversary and I am basking in the joy of this day, and THEN I'll focus on Christmas. I am so relieved that all the decorations are up and all but about 5 presents are wrapped. It feels like we can really enjoy Christmas and the anticipation leading up to it rather than being overwhelmed by the preparations.

Happy Wednesday, everyone! Sending you all warmest wishes! :grouphug:

QOTD: Earlier I would've said Sleepy but now I'm Happy because I am completely done with my shopping. Still have a few things that I need to wrap but still waiting for DH's last two gifts to arrive.

DD2 will be home in about 20 minutes with her friends. I will wrap her last 3 gifts this afternoon. I forgot them the other day.

I got my Peppermint Mocha Kahlua!!! Actually bought 2 bottles! So excited!!!!

Achy from my massage yesterday and my nose is running like a faucet.

I bought myself a pair of Christmas slipper socks and teh BL Power Walk DVD. It was $7.50 at KMart. Maybe I'll try it out this afternoon.

I ate an early lunch. I bought some sweet and spicy chicken at a little store down the road. Hoping the spiciness would help my sinuses.

Watching 4 Weddings and a Funeral while I await the kids' arrival. I need to clean up the kitchen and vacuum the living room and take care of some things. I went to the Wellness Center this morning for breakfast. I will bring cookies for the party tonight. The owner said it was fine since it's the holidays and the weigh ins are all done. So hoping I come home with a big was of cash tonight!

Better get some more things done so I can relax later! DD1 has to finish up everything this afternoon without whining or asking for help!

Gotta go now!

TTFN :tigger:

CATCH UP TIME!!! HERE WE GO!

Hi, I'm Nicole, age 29, married with one kid too! Mine is a 3yo daughter. :)
I started in late spring 2009 with the BL challenges. I lost about 20 pounds and got a lot more fit. I ran the Princess half marathon earlier this year. .

Glad you are back here with us and great job on the weight loss up to this point. I am so excited to do the princess this year...do you have any advice for our BL crew that are running it this year???

Wonderful traditions Kathy. I especially love #6. Im sure they are toasting to you up in heaven too.

We are getting bil and his family a gc to the movies, some salt water taffy and Cheese Doodles. They can't get the last two out in Kansas. we wanted to send them some Taylor Ham (a jersey specialty) but it would have cost almost twice as much to ship it as it would have cost us. I just couldn't do it.

Some of our family live in texas..we dont exchange gifts but sometimes we do send them care packages. Tastykakes, lebanon bologna, chipped dried beef. They love it.

my grandfather hands out his gifts to us grandchildren. Grandpa loves to give us our gift each year and every year the moment becomes more and more special.

Cherish this CC. That is such a special way for your grandpa to show his love and something that you will remember always about him. He sounds like a very caring sweet person.

Life is good! we are so enjoying being home.

Glad you are having a wonderful time. I am so impressed that you are even thinking about being healthy and watching what your eating. Good for you. I hope the rest of your time is enjoyable!

This is such an interesting question. Had you asked me this 2 years ago I could have given you an extensive list, one like many of you have. Last year my perspective changed.

It is sad that something so severe has to happen to really remind us what it is all about. I only hope I can learn from yours and others experiences to remind me everyday to just be thankful for having each other and for what we have and not worry about all that we dont. Have a Merry Christmas!

Which meant I had to get something else for Sophie- found a really cheap little digital camera,$30, that I think she'll enjoy, if it works. :lmao:

A friend said "We don't leave our house Christmas Day. If you want to see us on Christmas, come see us." Sometimes I wish I could be that way, but she's an only child, and her DH's family is 5 hours away. It's harder when your immediate family (brothers, wives, kids) has 16 people and your DH's family is also nearby. We also visit his Grandmother, 99, Christmas Day, and do Christmas Eve w/ MIL and FIL. Dh always opened gifts Christmas Eve as a child. They wanted Santa to come there on Christmas Eve, but NO WAY JOSE! I did put my foot down on that one!

I had that problem too. Found one thing for ryan that I "needed" to get for him.:lmao: so that made me "need" to get one more for nick. Now I wonder why I dont have money.:rotfl2: Thats life with more than one child. I was an only child so I tell my mom all the time she had it easy.:lmao:

I say the same thing. I remember the last year I was "home" for xmas before we got married we had a huge storm. We made it out in the morning to my nana's and my dh's nana's but that evening no one could make it to our house. So it was a quiet evening of "playing" with new gifts and laying cozy in our pjs. It was very enjoyable and yet memorable too. I think god knew I needed that (I was so sad to leave home...complete mommy and daddy's girl).
I agree no presents on xmas eve.....santa doesnt come until we are asleep;)

When Thomas and I got first got married, we had Thanksgiving 4 times in one day. We went from my Dad's to his Dad's to his Mom's and then to my Mom's. After that, I made a rule that we had Thanksgiving and Christmas at our house and they were all invited. We had the only grandchild, so most of them just came to us. We did Christmas with my dad and stepmom the weekend before. Worked well for us when we were closer to family. Now we just stay home, just the 4 of us.

Hope everyone has a great!:hippie:

thats just insane....we use to do that on christmas. our home, my parents, my inlaws, my grandparents, then back to my parents, then finally home. This stopped after my 1st sons 1st christmas. I enjoy it so much more now.

QOTD 12/21: Describe your favorite holiday decoration and why it is special to you.

I collect willow tree. My mom a few years ago surprised me with their manger and each year she has added to it. I finally have the whole set. Its beautiful and I let the kids help me set it up and teach them about the true story of christmas. This year they asked where santa was?? I explained that santa is just a way we celebrate jesus' bday. Then a few days later we were at my nana's and she has a santa down on a knee praying for baby jesus. They said see mom santa really does pray...then they asked my nana if they can have it to put in our manger.:lmao:

I am going to join in on the alumni thread and try to be better about chatting :)

Hi Kristi...glad you hoped on and chatted. Congrats on being the biggest loser!!!!

Also, I'm very worried about next week's exercising. Our student rec center will be closed all week and I'm concerned that without it being open, I'll end up being lazy and skipping my runs :sad2: Maybe the fact that I'm concerned will be enough to motivate me and keep me disciplined :confused3 I'm almost considering doing a trial week at a local gym just to keep me focused. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I think the trial membership would be a good way and maybe a fun change. You could also bundle up and try a run outside for a change of pace. I bet since you are so concerned about missing that you will find a way to do something and even if it is less than normal it will be better than nothing at all.

Here’s an update on the venue hunt.

First of all I love hearing about your wedding and the plans so feel free to continue to post about it. I know when I was planning our wedding I always felt everyone was getting tired of me talking about it but its exciting and you should feel free to talk away. So if at any point you think no one cares to hear about it any more just pop on here and chat away...you will at least have one listener.:lmao:

I would say if you like the venue enough go for it and add memorable details and personalizations to it. Remember you will use the venue for not even a whole day and although it will be memorable and enjoyable your honeymoon will be spectacular. My advice would be spend the money on that where you two can really enjoy it and enjoy each other. Either way I am sure you will make the best desicion for you.

Hi guys. I just wanted to update the group about my knee. I just got home from the dr appointment. They found a stress fracture, a torn meniscus, torn cartiledge and LOTS of arthritis. He gave me something for the arthritis. Since it has been feeling better (not great but better) he doesn't want to do anything. I have an appointment for a month from now. I did get through yesterday and today without any medication. It did bother me last night but with the heating pad and tylenol I made it through the night.

Oh my dona. You are quite a trooper even walking around for weeks with all that going on. I hope it feels better and heals up on its own soon.

I had a pretty amazing day! I gave two massages and got one myself.

Yes I would call that an amazing day too. How nice.

I am constantly telling the kid I informally tutor that she needs to advocate for herself. Yep, I'm a hypocrite and venting and rambling and...;)

Its so much easier to give advice then it is to follow it yourself. I hope you do whats best for you and that it all works out.

Just spent the last hour sleeping on the couch. My cold is feeling worse tonight but I've got things that must get done tomorrow.

wow tracey you guys have had such a rough few months with colds and viruses. I hope you feel better soon.

Jumping in here. New to the whole BL thing. Just joined my first challenge. I'm hoping to be a loser, but I may have to be content with being a maintainer. I live with no adrenal glands after battling Cushing's Disease and take steroids every day to compensate for what my body no longer makes. It's pretty complicated. I put on over close to 80 pounds with the Cushing's and really want to take that off. It's coming off very slowly.... sigh. My goal is to try and work in at least 45 minutes of exercise every day.

Hi and welcome to our BL group. It is a great place to come to get motivated. It must be hard dealing with your disease but I commend you on taking the first step to tackle the weight gain. I think you have set a great goal for yourself.

1. Our TA's wife lost her battle yesterday morning.

2. Bragging mom moment.
3. Hoping to mega clean today.

1. so sorry to hear that. My heart and prayers go out to your friend and his child.

2. That is wonderful. I think your girls are learning such valued lessons that will help them so much through life.

3. When your done can you take a drive and clean up my house. I will leave the key under the door mat.:lmao:

If you were one of the seven dwarfs, which one would you be today -- Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, Doc, Sneezy, Bashful or Dopey?

I am trying to be happy but someone else has other plans for me today because our office is crazy and I am feeling very overwhelmed. :lmao:

We went to DSH last night and rode tot in the dark--my favorite and then went to see the osbourne lights. In bed by 9. Not eating great (I had a piece of cake for dinner:scared1:) but we took over 20000 steps yesterday. Mike and I did a lap in the airport during our layover. Off to Magic Kingdom for opening this morning.

Glad you made it safe rose. Your night sounds like so much fun. I wish we were there too. Soon enough I will be.;) I hope you enjoy your day at the MK.

Ok these replies took me 4 hours.:confused3 I kept getting pulled away. I fell asleep early last night at 830 while watching a movie with the boys and I got nothing done.:scared1: I still have to clean and I have to wrap all my gifts. I think tonight and tomorrow night will late nighters. I am determined to get everything done so xmas eve can be spent relaxing with my family...and a little time on here too since I am coaching that day.:rolleyes1

Eating has been horrible. I mean horrible. I need to fix that!

Have a great day!!!!!!

Wondered where you were! Hoping you feel better VERY soon! Sounds like you are on a roll, hate that sickness played a part in it! And have I ever told you that I wanted to name Anna Kathryn Liesel? Yes, I am fairly obsessed with Sound of Music! DH said people would call her Liesel the Weasel. We had the hardest time with names for our girls, I would say "No, I taught a kid with that name or so and so has a kid named that", and DH would come up with hideous nicknames for each!

That is too funny! I was occasionally called Liesel in high school (very similar to Lisa and I was in choir too). There are lots of teachers in my family (including my mom!) and they would also veto baby names based on kids in their classes.

I totally forgot to mention that I am finally wearing the jeans I bought a couple of months ago, which is great because my larger ones were getting way too baggy. So I am ending the year down 2 sizes, which is not as much as I hoped for, but I'm still celebrating it anyway. I think I underestimated the psychological effect of putting on a smaller size. It feels good and will help me keep on track the next few weeks.

Here's a huge :welcome: to all the new people who have joined the challenge. This is only my second challenge and I have really enjoyed the support.

Rose-I hope you are having lots of fun! On my WDW trip 2 years ago I ate pretty much whatever I wanted (which also included some healthy choices-I didn't always want junk!) and lost 4 pounds. With all that walking-its definitely possible to lose or maintain.

Hi Lisa-thanks for hostessing this thread!

The dated ornament my Daddy gave me for Christmas 3 days before my wedding of a little girl and her daddy decorating the tree to symbolize my last Christmas at home,!
So sweet. Gave me goose bumps, just another example of what a special relationship you had.
I'll yell at you if I see you on here and remind you of all you should be doing today!!!
Please don't yell at me. I just needed to come on and try out my new progressive lenses on the computer. ;) Plus, work called, and I got tomorrow off too!!!:cool1: They were both my 4 hour days, so I figured what the heck, I'd put my name up for cancel and low and behold I got it.

1. Our TA's wife lost her battle yesterday morning. My heart is so heavy for them! He is doing great, with great attitude and perspective at this point, his 10 year old, not so much. Funeral is not until SUNDAY, which I thought was odd, but I 'm sure they have a reason.
So sorry about your friends wife. It's such a hard time of year, and so young. Her poor little baby. Heartbreaking.
Again, so many reminders of all we have to be grateful for.

I'm so proud of AK and sophie. You are doing a fantastic job of raising those little girls. So sweet. Don't go too crazy on the cleaning, it's just going to get dirty again.:rotfl2:

.

If you were one of the seven dwarfs, which one would you be today -- Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, Doc, Sneezy, Bashful or Dopey?
I'm HAPPY!!!! I am off now from work til next wed, except for being on call sunday, but that wouldn't entail more than a couple hours, it's snowing out right now, beautiful big flakes, I have Christmas music on, my house is warm, I got a run/walk in today, my shopping is done and wrapped. Life is good.

Be careful running outside! :flower3: I'm looking forward to seeing your good shopping skills in action at the expo in about 60 days! princess:
I was careful. Ah, the expo, gotta work on saving for that. I'm definitely a little more reserved since I've had michael, but I do have a few items in mind for the expo. 60 days:scared1:Wow, time is flying.

I am going to really clean now. If I can get it all done today, I can relax and maybe watch a christmas movie tomorrow during the day with a cup of tea.

Have a nice afternoon.

Finally hung all my photo Christmas cards around my kitchen doorway! Now it really looks like Christmas in my house!

Playdate is going really well. The girls get along so well! They are playing and watching a movie!

Should get in the kitchen now and do some cooking.

Steak tips grilled in the snow is what's for dinner here! Red meat always makes me feel better!

Oh yeah, did I mention that it is snowing here! Expecting 1-3" by morning! Looks like a white Christmas here!!!!:santa::santa::santa:

Thats a great story! How cute.

Today is Howard and my 26th wedding anniversary and I am basking in the joy of this day, and THEN I'll focus on Christmas.

Happy Anniversary Cam! I hope you enjoy your day with howard. Thanks for checking in during your busy time.

I went to the Wellness Center this morning for breakfast. I will bring cookies for the party tonight. The owner said it was fine since it's the holidays and the weigh ins are all done. So hoping I come home with a big was of cash tonight!

Good Luck tonight!!!!!!!

That sounds wonderful Kathy! As much as I hate snow I am hoping we get some fri or sat. Nothing better than celebrating the holiday, being with family, xmas carols playing, and snow falling.:cloud9:

First day of winter break for my kiddos. They were still up early though.
So glad my kids are late sleepers. Of course, it would have something to do w/ my slack parenting and them staying up late.:rolleyes1

If anyone has seen Lilo and Stich they know that Pudge the Fish controls the weather. Lilo would feed him a Peanut butter sandwich every day.Today I am Sneezy- I am trying to get over a bad cold :( I have so much to do and feel icky.
Love your Pudge story!!!! Hope you feel better soon!

Hi, everyone! I have been reading but haven't had time to post. Today is Howard and my 26th wedding anniversary and I am basking in the joy of this day, and THEN I'll focus on Christmas.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! :mickeyjum:love2:

Glad you stopped by, I'd gotten worried!

QOTD: Earlier I would've said Sleepy but now I'm Happy because I am completely done with my shopping.I got my Peppermint Mocha Kahlua!!! Actually bought 2 bottles! So excited!!!!
:woohoo: on both!

Um... I collect Willow Tree, too. :scared1: I want the nativity set. Cute story about the kids wanting to put Santa in there! I will be glad to come clean yours WHEN I finish mine, but since I am here instead of cleaning, that key is safe where it is.

I totally forgot to mention that I am finally wearing the jeans I bought a couple of months ago, which is great because my larger ones were getting way too baggy. So I am ending the year down 2 sizes, which is not as much as I hoped for, but I'm still celebrating it anyway.
GREAT JOB!!! DEFINITELY WORTH CELEBRATING!:dance3:

Please don't yell at me. I just needed to come on and try out my new progressive lenses on the computer. ;) Plus, work called, and I got tomorrow off too!!!:cool1:
Okay, I won't yell!! YAY! for days off! The setting you described sounds so wonderful and :cloud9: Much better than the arguing over the wii game that I have in the background!

Well, plans for all fruit failed miserably, as a friend called and wanted to take us out for lunch today. She's one of my BFFs, we work together, and won't probably get to talk to each other until we go back due to her travel/my travel. 2 adults, 5 kids! We had fun, now the girls aer overstimulated, I'm sleepy, and cleaning isn't happening. We did do a quick clean in case they wanted to come back here after lunch, but her DS had bball practice. So not as bad as it could be! I still need to tackle upstairs.... and mop.....and dust.... and vaccuum.... and laundry............ and.... I think I'll just go take a quick nap!

One of my students came by as we were getting ready. His parents are friends, and he brought me my "teacher" gift. O.M.G. He had the sweetest painted sign that says "If you can dream it, you can do it" by Walt and a silhouette of Mickey, some Virginia Tech cups, and a $40 gift certificate to a clothes store (local, Southern, Belk). I could have passed out!!!! So very, very, very sweet! Needless to say, they are in a WHOLE different tax bracket!

Have a great afternoon!
Taryn

Hello, everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I am still here! I am following along, but I don't have time for much more. This is the busiest week of the year for us, but I really wish we were busier. We have about 40 thousand dollars left to do by Christmas Eve if I want even a little bit of a bonus. (about $200). That is 80% of our goal. Crossing my fingers.

I have some time tomorrow, so I will try to catch up a bit then.

Congrats to kristymc on winning the challenge!

If I'm not back, everyone have a great Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you too, Kelli! :santa: Did you know that you were the WINner?!? :yay: Congratulations! :cool2:

I'll be back later to catch up. :flower3:

I haven't been around much lately. Busy, busy busy and I'm sure the rest of you are too. Thank you Lisa for telling about this thread I had no idea it was here. Hopefully I will be able to visit a little more often. So when does the next challenge start? I am thinking the first week in January like last year. Please let me know.

I guess I'm sleepy today :rotfl: I didn't want to get up this morning and nearly dozed off at work.

It's been crazy busy around here, but what's new. I didn't get out of work until 6 tonight, Had to pick up prescription refills and finally got home around 7. Thankfully DH had dinner ready. We're watching The Santa Clause. I haven't seen any Christmas shows this year.

Hi everybody!!!!

Just got back from my party!!! I won!!!!! $250!!!!! I won by 4% body weight! My neighbor down the street finished 3rd!!! So I lost 16.2 pounds, 15.5 inches and 10.2% body weight!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Hello, everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I am still here!
Glad you stopped in! Hope you get that bonus!!!

I haven't been around much lately. Busy, busy busy and I'm sure the rest of you are too.
It does, the thread has already started!! We're doing 2 teams in the beginning, so go ahead and get your name on the list to be assigned to either Team Mickey or Team Donald! Glad you stopped in, too!!!

I guess I'm sleepy today :rotfl: I didn't want to get up this morning and nearly dozed off at work.
With your schedule, it's no wonder you are sleepy!

TAUWILLOW I was browsing through the channels, and our local PBS station has the UNC School of Arts nutcracker on!!!! If I'm remembering correctly, your son was on my TV! I DVR'd it, if you feel comfortable sharing which part he is in. I turned it on when there was a lady with a big skirt on, she rolled it up and people danced out, so I have DVR'd from that part on. I was so excited!

Night everyone! I'm kinda sleepy, now, too, but going to watch Top Chef All Stars first!
Taryn

Morning! (well, I guess you can call 4 AM that)

I've been trying to fall back to sleep since sometime before 3. :scared1: Oh well. I can sleep in tomorrow morning.

Thank you for all of your support! :) Taryn, feel free to get preachy. Sometimes, I need it. :rolleyes1 Lindsay, you are definitely right about giving versus using advice. :thumbsup2 I will say that when I woke up post-nightmare, I started thinking about a way to prevent them. It won't prevent me from having to do something I'm not so keen on doing, but at least I'm advocating for myself. So, here is what I'm thinking. I'll have to do some research, but this would be ideal. Plus, my parents are still looking for Christmas gifts for me. I do take I.O.U.s. :rotfl2: I would like a CD player that turns off after an hour so that I can listen to Disney music while I am trying to fall asleep. WDW is my "happy place" and this is the closest I can get until my next trip there, but visiting always helps my mood and I think this could be worth the try, depending on the cost.

I don't have a trip planned yet, but I am going to start looking into flying down on Friday night and home Monday morning. I can take a half day any time after March 1st, but don't have vacation time until after I finish my 1st year. I am really feeling the urge to take a solo trip. Not sure why, maybe just to say I did? :confused3

Tracey: Thanks for the advice! :) I've had 2 chair massages, but she encouraged me to try a table massage so I said I'd try it. My first chair massage a few years ago was while I was at work (teaching). I was so worried about leaving my students that I couldn't relax at all and it ended up being a miserable experience. So, my LMT knows to be careful and I'm okay with her asking questions throughout. I've heard it's better in silence, but I feel more comfortable this way. With all the different positions I'm it at work, I really need to get a massage monthly. I found a place near work for a very reasonable price, so that's doable financially.

This will probably be my last post until after Christmas. It is busy beaver time in my house through the 26th. Lisa, I'll coach 2 days between the 27th and 30th. You can decide which two.

Sorry I haven't had much time for replies. Every few minutes I am told we need this or that or we need to do this or that. Last night, I left work and met my sister for some last-minute Christmas shopping. I finally got my mother and father their gifts. I didn't get home until 8 and still had to shower. Well, my actual alarm is going off, so I better go. Sorry, it was a rambling kind of morning.

Have a wonderful holiday for those who celebrate! Remember, it's not about presents or food ;), but the time you spend with your familiy. :)

Good morning everyone.

Busy day yesterday. Had a meeting after school. Got home and put a meatloaf in the oven. Took ds2 to the grocery store and we did our shopping for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Got home and put the perishables away and finished dinner. we then started to decorate the tree. I have to finish it today since it is hard to do it at night. Too many dark places not filled in.

Today I have a half day and I have maybe 4 or 5 quick stops to get somethings for dh. then I have to finish the tree. Ds's are going out tonight so I think it will be a good time to wrap presents. Then if we need any last minute things dh can get them in the morning. I will start cooking tomorrow morning. I need to bring macaroni salad with shrimp to bring to my mom's hours. I have a number of things to do for Saturday but not as much as in the past. We have pared it down since we bring it to inlaw's.

tigger813 congrats on the win

Taryn how cute that you may have seen Tauwillow's son. That must have been neat to realize.

cc I have been having problems sleeeping for the last couple of nights. I was up at 3 yesterday morning and 4 this morning.

Have a great day everyone. I will be back on tomorrow morning before the crazies start.

I forgot. I got a present from someone in my geometry class. I usually only get maybe 1 or 2 small things and it is usually cookies. The class wanted me to open it up when I got it. I am glad I didn't bring it home. It was an electric pencil sharpener for my classroom. It was very sweet.
