What is the biggest package you have shipped to a resort ahead of time.

We are staying at AKL Concierge in October.

I purchased a huge Mickey and a huge Minnie for my children and I would like to see if they can place them in the room before we arrive.

I couldn't resist buying them since they were 1/2 off at TDS and they would probably cost twice as much at WDW.

Even with the shipping, I'm ahead.

What do you think? Is there a certain size box that you wouldn't send? I would send it at the appropriate time so it wouldn't arrive until a day or two before we checked in.

Yes, I will just sneak them down in our vehicle if opinion shows that shipping them ahead is not a good idea.

Thanks in advance.

I was at the YC May 24-31. I shipped two twenty pound boxes down before we arrived. They were good sized - probably about what your Mickey/Minnie would each need. It was not a problem. I called the Mail Room after we got in the room. My only complaint is that the mailroom delivery guy was prompt, polite and friendly - BUT WOULD NOT ACCEPT THE $10 TIP - said they are not allowed. I felt so guilty because he had made our lives so much better.

You might want to call Concierge and ask if they can accept the box and open it for you - otherwise you will have to maybe have Dad take the kids to the pool or something while you open the box.

Enjoy!!!!

My DH sent a fairly large box with several wrapped anniversary gifts for me directly to the AKL concierge staff after arranging it with them ahead of time by email. The concierge staff arranged all the gifts nicely on the table in our room so that they were there upon our arrival. It was a great surprise and the concierge staff was very accomodating. Hope this helps.

Hi FF :)

Definately send them ahead - just arrange it in advance so you can direct it to a specific person.

They will have them set up in the room for you - it will be great!

I am doing this too at the Beach Club - 10 nights worth of pillow gifts - now I just have to figure out what to get!
